I 100% agree. I work with multiple electronic factories in China and they are all producing again for the last couple weeks. I don't expect this economic "crash" to be anywhere near as bad as the media is making it sound.
I also follow aviation news very closely as I used to work for a Boeing supplier, so my news feed is likely a bit more panic inducing as they are in a lot of trouble.

But I still stand by my point in that Ford may be waiting it out to see how bad it really is and I don't think canceling is impossible, just highly unlikely. The lack of teasers or leaks since the reveal was canceled has me nervous.
It's impossible not even a remote concept of reality..

Yes Ford is in big trouble.

Wouldn't surprise me if they cut something. They idled their plants and the company is suspending its dividend and it will borrow the total unused amounts against two lines of credit.
At least you wouldn't have to deal with all that scary technology then

All of the auto plants are currently idled. It's a smart move by Ford to pull in their credit lines before something happens and they're not able. I try to keep some cash on hand and use credit instead. If my credit were to be cut, I'd still have the cash.

If I were buying a luxury car it would be loaded with all that stuff, what bothers me is having the interior get soaked every time it rains when the top is off, covered in mud etc. It happens.

China factories are operating because their government has ordered them to do so.

I wonder how liability laws differ between us & the ChiComs? I know here in the USA there are legions of lawyers waiting to sue employers. I think suing the ChiComs is riskier business.
Somewhere under all that jingoism and whitewash of the nuance of the American tort system is a kernel of truth...

I see little in the Chinese system that suggests it's a communist country- it's more of a hybrid autocracy (not quite a dictatorship, and with odd hints of capitalism) with a cool little red book. However, the level of control the government wields does allow them to put a rather heavy 'invisible' hand on the market. And their practice of information warfare against their own people and the world makes it hard not to discount anything that comes out through the 'Great Firewall'.

The little bit of time I was able to spend there proved to me that the Chinese people are pretty much the same as everyone else- just trying to make it through life and not get dead any sooner than necessary.

That’s actually a super interesting question. If Ford had a gun to their head and had to cut either the Bronco or mustang coupe which would they pick? I’m biased but I think they’d have to kill off the mustang from a financial perspective and just hope to bring it back.

I agree; The Mustang is in a declining market segment and Bronco is in a big and growing segment.

Definitely the Mustang, then it comes back as a “fun” and budget friendly priced electric 2dr in 2024 for the 60th anniversary following the success of the Mach E. :poop:

Just saw a video someone posted of them seeing the baby Bronco out “testing.” Good to see that not everything has ground to a halt with these vehicles.

Link please ?
It was on Facebook, wouldn’t let me save a link, and took me awhile to think to record my screen. Lol

The video doesn’t seem to work on here, at least for me. Here’s a screenshot of it.
