Took mine in because the driver's window kept bouncing back. "Could not replicate" of course.

I don't like how vague the instructions are. "Press and hold" -- the switch has two positions, am I pressing it to the manual-close, or the auto-close detent? I've had the bounceback occur even when not using auto-up.

Do you know if they checked for door module updates? I had this issue alot and a module update make it much much better. I think it has inly happened once since

I mentioned it when dropping off, the paperwork afterwards said the module was up to date.

Press all the way down and hold for a few seconds after window bottoms out.
Press the up button completely and hold for a few seconds after the window tops out.

It works for me on the first cycle, but sometimes it takes a second or third cycle , according to the tech bulletin.

I had initially thought it was a 5 second hold, but having found that post again, apparently it only needs to be a 2 second hold.

One cycle does the trick for me as well.

I have seen multiple threads on resetting the one touch open/close on the windows. There also seems to be a bit of confusion on the exact procedure. I found it in the Bronco Manual.

Resetting One-Touch Close
Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.
  1. Close the window.
  2. Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open. Keep the window control switch pressed for two seconds.
  3. Lift and hold the window control switch until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control switch held for two seconds.
  4. Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open. Keep the window control switch pressed for a two seconds.
  5. Lift and hold the window control switch until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control switch held for a two seconds.
Note: Repeat the procedure if the window does not close when you use one-touch.

I thought I was going to have to jump on Forscan for a second. Thanks for the heads up. It's funny how manufacturers can still sneak the manual doodads on vehicles with all these electronics. Good deal 👍🏼

@Klunatic thank you! I had been trying other methods, waiting 5 seconds each time and it was not working. The instructions you reposted worked for me!

For anyone who tries this, I did not have to press the window button all the way in or pull up to get the “auto” up/down. Simply press just enough to get the window to move up or down.

Just had this issue yesterday. While reading this thread and another that said to hold for 10 seconds, I did that and it worked. 5 seconds did not work.
