After having my windshield replaced, I'm now considering installing Windshield Defense. Does anyone have any feedback? Did you install yourself?

Never heard of this but I have been using Exoshield Ultra. It’s a diy kit (can also hire someone to install it if you prefer) and it’s definitely done its job. I’ve had many rocks hit my windshield pretty hard and the only damage has been small knicks on my film. They are on sale four now as well under $200!

I also can't speak to this product, but I too have film from Stek (Dynoshield) and also have taken a couple of hits that have left marks in the film.

I've had it for a little over a year and my only complaint is that the wipers do skip a bit on the down wipe. To solve that I apply RainX which helps, but is obviously only temporary, so I have to reapply on a regular basis.

Car wash is fine. The ONLY thing is that you can't use usual RainX, it fogs terribly. There are special ones for plastic coatings, tho' I haven't noticed them working as well as RainX on glass.

Do you guys wash by hand or carwash?
Hand Wash Only

RainX is supposed to haze when it sets and dries. You then are supposed to wipe the haze off with a clean towel. As the directions state, a clean, DAMP towel makes it easier to get the haze off.

Oh, I know how it works. Just doesn't clean off plastic.

I haven't had any issues getting cleaned off the windshield film on mine.
