Caught a rock chip on the freeway on the way home, next morning found a foot long crack. Insurance company is replacing it, I am paying a supplement for OEM parts so I will be getting new OEM window shield.

Anything in particular I have to pay attention to with the replacement? I have a 2023 BD, other than the wiper sensors I don't think there is anything that needs calibration.

There are cameras for lane keeping and the emergency braking. They need recalibration.

If you plan on claiming this on your insurance, you do need to do the ADAS calibration.

All Broncos have a forward camera that gets used for Collision Assist. That is supposed to get calibrated any time you:
Replace the camera/module
Replace the Windshield
Adjust your lift or rake

Seems most glass shops charge a few hundred dollars to do it (which is crazy because it takes about 10 minutes with FDRS). But if you decline it, your insurance may consider the repair "incomplete" and fail to pay out.

various cameras for accident avoidance , etc.
All right there in that rear view mirror assembly. Even the most basic Base models (like mine) have them.

It's a crime how much they charge for the recalibration.

If I could do it at home with FDRS I'd finally break down and buy the adapter.

Wow, never heard this before, but it makes perfect sense!
This means there is a metric shit ton of Broncos out there that may or may not need a re-cal. LOL!!!

Including mine ... (when I had the 35's on!)
Probably just changing from 30's to 35's would have an effect on them.

hmm.. Actually, would @Ducati1098 or @flip know if you could do a recalibration yourself with just FDRS? I'm assuming some extra hardware is needed.
When I had my windshield replaced they charged me for it, but I don't know if I honestly trust they actually did it or not.
Plus I've put larger tires on since...

If you do the cal in FDRS, it specifically asks for height to fender on front and rear. The glass guy I spoke with when I did my last windsheld explained the camera needs to know how to calculate distance based on the horizon - and that has to do with the height of the camera off the road.

Now, it probably will still work... I mean, you don't always drive on perfectly level pavement and you don't have to recal if you are going up hill versus down hill. Same glass guy also said if you do a windshield replacement and they don't unplug the module, it won't force a recal -- some vehicles will and throw a DTSC until it's recal'ed if they detect the ADAS/Camera has been unplugged.

@RagnarKon and @Ducati1098 answered this for me a while back, and I tried it out - yes, it's very easy in FDRS.

Basically fire up FDRS and start the procedure. Enter your fender heights. Leave the laptop running while you drive around for about 10 minutes. It has a progress bar, once it hits 100% you are done.

That'll be a couple hundred $$$, thank you very much.

Well crud. I guess it's time to buy the interface for FDRS...

Supposedly, you can also run this procedure in Forscan - I have not tried it, I've just seen mention of it. YMMV

I'll research that, I have FORSCAN capability.

I thought it required some kind of 'target' and for the vehicle to be on perfectly flat ground.

I did too - Rag and Ducati set me straight. But it's all computer now - just need some relatively straight roads with clean lines painted on them.
