State Farm dropping for it. When I went to another company, they pulled up the history and told my best option was drop glass coverage. I did and have been driving vehicles with cracks ever since then. Based upon deductible against out of pocket cost I have been better off. I plan on trying the exo shield when I replace the Bronco windshield.

I'm on windshield #8, last I checked.

To help shorten this thread, here's everything that'll get mentioned:

1. ditch the ford glass, it's butter-soft. No, the bronco logo doesn't matter. Get Pilikington or Fuyao
2. the hood deflector kinda works
3. it's basically a wear item
4. learn to patch the impacts yourself
5. it's still a brick.
6. exoshield won't help, it also yellows over time. Granted, you'll never see it yellow, because the rock will have busted your windshield long before that time.
7. there is no 7
I am sadly dealing with a windshield replacement right now. I have crack (which has grown from about 6" to 10" since it happened) starting at the top of the windshield. It goes in for repair tomorrow. The glass shop told me the Pilikington is at least one of, if not THE, OEM manufacturers for Ford. Not sure this info is worth anything, but there you have it.

They're one of them, my wife's f150 has one, but the bronco is definitely not the vehicle that ford throws its love at

Stay at least 2 seconds behind the car in front of you, windshield chipping will reduce by 95%.

I follow the 2 second rule, my '21 BaseSquatch has 0 chips and the original windshield.
Both big cracks in my 2 door windshield were from way further back than that. Nothing will prevent impacts I've realized lol

I went 4 years without a rock chip then finally got one that quickly cracked. Got it replaced and literally within the first 10 miles of driving with the new windshield I took another rock and it cracked the windshield as well.

Bit of a crapshoot but don’t follow things that will throw rocks if you can otherwise keep your fingers crossed.

8 windshields in how many years? I know I’m on 4. One per year. At 500 bucks a pop with insurance, I wonder when the insurance companies are going to pipe up.

$0 deductible on glass here in arizona, so it costs me nothing but the inconvenience, which can vary. But I do at least have a really good independent glass company that isn't safelite now.

I got my bronco nov of 21, and it got its first ding within 6 weeks

Holy smokes. That’s awful. Hopefully one day someone will make a stellar protectant
