Worried about quality of seats - Durability test seems to be failing

I don’t think you are going to have to worry about the durability of the Bronco seats. I know we don’t know that right now, but I feel like the quality of cloth, leather, and MGV will be great. I have owned Fords forever with cloth and leather, and we have never had issues with the interior seats. Like anything you own, take care of it and the longevity will be fine. I actually think the MGV is legit and will last a long time. Obviously, wear and tear, sun, heat, etc are all going to play a role in the longevity especially if your have your doors and tops off all the time. Just take care of your ride, all good things happen.

Exactly. It also helps to step into and out of your vehicle rather than sliding in and out. I can’t count how many cars come into our shop with worn out bolsters after only a couple years because people slide off the seat. That’s what the grab handles are for

I would venture to say that these show Bronco's have what would amount to somewhere around 200,000 miles of use in a short time. Everybody dragging their asses(big and little) across the bolster getting in, and out of the truck without caring. I'm sure as owners, with a little care, we'll see that the seat material will last us a long time.

will see what the seats Are made of . I'm not worried about them , I chose cloth seats.

Not really an obesity problem when the seats made for skinny Europeans hold up well in other brands. I have had leather and vinyl in Euro cars/trucks. I do think the padding needs to be up to snuff and firm - otherwise you get the cracking and sagging.

The seats are a warranty item so if they aren't holding up to your use, have them replaced. If you want more than 3years/36,000 miles, get an extended warranty.

That is an incredibly crappy warranty. Should be at LEAST 5 years standard.

You can make it whatever you want but it's going to cost you more. 3year/36,000mile bumper to bumper warranty and a 5year/60,000mile powertrain warranty is what Ford offers.

I don't think understand the definition of "standard" at all.

My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has "leather" seats and found them to be poor quality. It only has 11,000 km's on it and they are showing signs of wear. I clean/condition them regularly and take good care of them. Very disappointing vs. the leather seats of my Audi A5, which I thought were top notch. For this reason, I ended up ordering MGV seats. Something a bit different and I gather they are a little easier to maintain than leather.

I saw them on Friday in Morgan Hill. Neither the OBX or BD had any noticeable wear on the seats that I could see.
