With all the threads showing some of the factory defects on the MIC tops, many people have legitimate concerns.

If some of the aftermarket companies decide to invest in the design, tooling and production of their own hardtops, would you buy one?

Where is the option for replacing my MIC on the 2-door with an aftermarket soft top?😁

Or can Ford just offer a soft top on the 2-door?

Edit: Thank you.😍

Yes and the vendor can even prototype it off of my truck when I get by the end of the year.

I'm waiting for the Mod top, but I'll purchase an after-market soft-top.

Edit: I should have added. I'm a 2-door.

I was initially fine with MIC, but after seeing all the issues and delays I switched to soft w/ prep. Will be buying a hard top down the road or switching back whenever the problems are fixed. Don’t care if it’s OEM or aftermarket as long as the design is good and price reasonable.

MIC is a Lemon! But who knows when Ford's MOD top is truly, actually AVAILABLE? Nothing about this Bronco launch has an aura of success to it:
  • I'd bet MY 21, 22, & 23 sales come in under half of Ford's initial projections
  • With few exceptions Ford has not allowed aftermarket access to CAD materials
I don't see a lot of quality suppliers wanting to gamble on Bronco yet. But I'd be all over a high quality, non-fastback 2-door top...soft And hard

I know the SEMA members were given the opportunity to go do 3D Scans of the Bronco. Others will do 3D Scans as soon as they can get their hands on a Bronco.

2-door Purgatory-dweller speaking here - I'll take any well-built top option that puts my BL in my driveway before Christmas 2021...Wishful thinking, I know....

I would replace the MIC with an aftermarket Modular unit with better quality and features like sliding side windows and pull down interior roof storage

I started with a Modular top, changed it to MIC hoping to get a late 2021MY build. Now, with the near chaos that Webasto has devolved into, it is a daily internal discussion as to going back to the Modular top, on hopes a new manufacturer will get it right, and Ford will not allow it to see the light of day unless it is correct, or to 99 the order or not and stay the course to see what develops.
