I'm not knocking the product - but this reminds me of a road-runner and Wylie-e-coyote cartoon. I can just see one of my grandsons tying up their hammock with it, drifts off for a nap, while another one lights it...

I have some of the Titan SurvivorCord... it's MIL-SPEC 550 paracord with fishing line, waterproof fire tinder, and brass utility/snare wire.

It's a little more pricey, about $30 for 100' including shipping.

Can anyone else see someone not cutting a piece off and just using one end of a long coil of cord? I haven't looked at the link but I hope that while part of the whole it is self extinguishing. Reminds me of drunk friends throwing gas on a camp fire then someone saying "what would happen if I poured straight from the gas can?"

Or how many would grab some, not realizing it is a fire starter and after cutting off a piece, they light the end to melt it to keep it from unravelling?

This looks like the right group to do field testing with a product like this.

Here, hold my beer.

Was just thinking the same thing... :ROFLMAO:
Boy Scouts are taught to fuse a frayed synthetic rope end by melting the end with a flame. How would you fuse this rope? Sounds like a good way to prank someone

Pull the outer cover back, trim an inch or so of the fire cord, push outside cover back up and fuse with flame.
