One of the only things we’ve ever found lacking in our 2-door Broncos was a center armrest for rear passengers. We regularly fold and occasionally remove the driver-side rear seat for our medium-large-sized (~110#) dog, so we wanted it to (1) allow folding of the driver-side seat without armrest removal, (2) not have to be rock-solid, but to be stable enough that one can plant their hand there when entering the rear seat, (3) be easily removable for folding both seats when/if needed with no rear passengers.

We went with a simple solution that’s worked very well over the car’s first roadtrip (though we’d make some minor changes now that we know it’s worthy of being semi-permanent).

- Order a cheap-o removable armrest from Amazon
In our case, we ordered one with finish similar to our new ‘25 Badlands’ interior (black MGV, White Stitching): https://a.co/d/dXzr9fr
- Add Corner Brackets (from Home Depot, etc).
Notes:
- In our case, we installed two (2) 5" corner brackets from Home Depot with the brackets mounted low on the plastic base so that our daughter would have an above-seat barrier from the dog. But for most use-cases I'd suggest mounting them snugly to the bottom so the base rests on the floor for better stability.
- We only installed the brackets in 1 direction as I didn’t want the dog to damage his paws if mounted in both directions with rear seat removed.
- IF WANTING A REMOVEABLE ARMREST: I’d recommend installing this way or (for better stability) adding another 1-2 corner brackets in the opposite direction for added stability and maybe adding a small amount of Velcro to the ends of each to prevent slipping.
- If you don’t mind a SEMIPERMANENT ARMREST WITH ADDED STABILITY: I would use a bracket setup that could allow one of the seat bolts to hold the armrest firmly to the floor]

- Place the brackets under the rear seat bottom (in our case, the passenger side as we had mounted the brackets in the same direction as the armrest’s designed directional bias & wanted the driver's side to fold) and bingo-bango, you have a removeable rear seat armrest in your 2-door that will still allow 1 seat to fold without armrest removal.
- Enjoy!
