Doors were well packed upon arrival from a short semi. Box was huge and light. Very deceiving. Probably 50lbs total. Come in 2 layers of bubble wrap with another layer of foam around them. They now come with door seals which my early order did not. Sent a email to Anderson about it, had a answer in 20 minutes, they were in the mail the next day. I also called twice with questions, someone answered both times. Doors arrive white.
Dropped off at the local body shop for paint, hardware install, and fitment. Body shop said the fit and finish was excellent took them no time to hang and adjust.
Running with these doors on is like running with no doors. It still generates a in cab breeze around the chest area that is almost the same as no doors, just a little more tamed like a constant direction instead of the swirl. Best of both worlds, get my arm/knee rest and still get the open cab feeling.
Doors are about 17lbs each, can carry with 2 fingers. They are solid and seem like it will take some force to mess them up. Make a real nice thud sound when closing, kind of like the quality of yester years steel doors. Arm rest design/angle is on point. It is comfortable with no fatigue. Will be having them upholstered over the winter for that oem look.
Anderson seals come with red plastic push pins and 3 m tape pre installed. Fords come with white pins and 3m installed. The white push pins are a hair smaller than the red ones. They will not hold. Just a fyi.
The new added view is defiantly welcomed. Don’t look like it would help much, but man, it really opens it up. Great view for wheeling both sides.
I am extremely happy with this upgrade. If you can swing the $ this is a real nice addition to the bronco. So happy, I ordered one of there new type r carbon hoods too.
Now these say off road use only. I would not be posting a review without putting them through my daily tests. So we went to dream cruise with them. At 90 they generate less breeze than no doors and it seems to pillow around the kidney area. I drove home at 80 in a down pour on 696. I got minimal water in the cab. Thats door holes and no windows. It was actually a awesome ride home. When I say minimal I mean 5 small drops on the passenger side and no mist at all on the inside. Not sure if it was designed like that but with the shape it seems to grab the side air then push it back out the windows with the top on.
Doors are easy to open. Reach though the hole when on the outside and just reach back with your hand when inside.
I have zero issues recommending these. They killed it. Tried to cover them the best I could so you know what to expect. I know it’s a big purchase.
Special shout out to @BeefCake for the door set. Offered me a great deal on a pre order set. Only reason this thread is here.
