Ford Releases 7 Pin Tow Wiring for Factory Installation

I literally installed my own 7 pin harness two months ago using forscan and now ford has this kit. Hope this can help everyone else.

I’m a DIY kind of guy but $120 for installation as listed I would just pay it.

Curious if the install is the same as the Lumen kit I used, and if it requires programing.

What is the difference between this and the 4 pin curt aftermarket? Doesn't look like they tap into yhe battery terminal to install this

After looking through the instructions, it was an easy decision for me to let the dealer install it. I used the 20% coupon for the harness, and my FordPass points to make the cost minimal. I installed the Curt hitch this week and will be making the appointment at the dealer for install of the harness the second week of September.

The bronco is already wired for the factory tow package. This kit just adds the module and the wiring harness to the trailer 7pin plug.

Yeah this kit has been available since late spring/early summer.

Our best guess is this is a similar to the kit that dealers will get for 2024MY Broncos now that the tow package for 24MY is a dealer installed option.

The only difference is the wiring for the 2024MY Broncos will already be there, while this kit requires you to tear apart a few of the factory connectors to install the missing pins/wires.

I agree, it requires programming.

So pretty much 7 pin for $425 with installation included. Kind of difficult to justify price difference for 4 pin I got from Curt for $55...

Update us once installed and if the $120 install is actually all they charge?

How did you get discount to apply? says $300 minimum order amount.

I added a hitch plug and Molle straps to bump the cost over $300. Still a net savings
