Did you just compare leaving a mean review to lynching? So what if some people depend on the place for a paycheck to put a roof over their heads and food in their child's belly? … No different than any other lynching for supposed crimes over the centuries.
A dealer adding ADM to a vehicle they would never have gotten without that reservation, that is a high level of fuckery that deserves our contempt. It is not illegal though. Just rankles our (subjective) feelings on 'fairness'. Willfully trying to destroy the business reputation to gain a financial advantage over the current situation? A situation that is not illegal? Yeah, sounds a lot like blackmail.
I'm not trying to dunk on AZ - he's coming from a good place in asking - but the reality is very few if any people have actually seen a DORA, let alone signed it with the dealer, or in any way shape or form actually agreed to the price of the Bronco on paper.Accurate name I guess. If you have one…
This will be my first new vehicle....I know nothing about extended warranties other than the scam phone calls i sometimes get, ha. But, does an extended warranty like this only kick in AFTER the warranty from the dealer/factory? Or it begins to run at the time of purchase?Under 2k. Not bad at all. Thank you
This is why I went with Granger. This is the exact reason I went to Stephens Auto Center. All dealers should strive to do business complelty above board as they do.
Sorry this is happening to you.
If a dealer tried to do this to me, especially after waiting as long as you have for YOUR custom ordered Bronco…. Pretty sure I would be escorted out of the dealer in handcuffs…..
While I do think that the power of the boards could help someone get their Bronco without an ADM and I do think that we should be pushing these dealerships for fair prices for what we ordered, he isn't at all 100% wrong here. Couldn't I create a thread next week about XYZ not giving me a Bronco at an approved MSRP and there would be many negative reviews left on their site without any actual proof?Personally, I believe the OP, but I am not going to go string up a business based only on their side of the story. People seldom remember to put in the stuff that reflects badly on them. (I have also read the terms and conditions of Yelp and some other review sites and do not believe I can leave a review of a place with which I have not had personal interaction per my acceptance of the agreement to use those services, while most don't seem to care, I do, man of my word and all that, probably a liability these days, but it is who I am.)
Do you have a signed sales agreement with your dealership for your price?Roger that. It sucks that the dealer is adding ADM...but not surprising. I truly hope they change their mind and work something out with you.
This is yet another story of why we all need to have a signed purchase agreement BEFORE taking delivery. The way I look at it is that we all have to have an agreement on price sooner or later, why not before you get your Bronco? I certainly don't want the stress of ADM when picking mine up.
Wishing you the best!
Oh I have no idea what they are lol and I agree it should be MSRP at delivery time. My gif was essentially just a joke. If you need a Dora to get an agreed upon price without someone trying to steal money from you. It’s roughly the same as needing Dora to keep swiper from swiping. I.E. Dora being the Dora and swiper being the dealer. I thought it was funnyI'm not trying to dunk on AZ - he's coming from a good place in asking - but the reality is very few if any people have actually seen a DORA, let alone signed it with the dealer, or in any way shape or form actually agreed to the price of the Bronco on paper.
I don't have one - and I think I am an informed buyer/customer. I also trust my dealer (sounds so awful to say that) at least for the moment. I did ask for a DORA and the sales manager said that is the equivalent of the order preview that I signed.
I have an order preview that I signed. I also have my e-mail thread where the dealer has committed to sell the Bronco to me at MSRP - but that's it. I don't have anything else and when my Bronco shows up I could very well be on here asking for support because the dealer is screwing me.
If you're a reservation holder, orderer, and that Bronco is on the lot because your name was attached to it. The sale price should be MSRP at maximum. Hard stop.
There are a lot of people out there that are wealthy enough that this type of behavior is totally an option. What are these (non-reservation) customers walking in off the street and paying 25K markup even thinking? Do they brag they paid 25K over MSRP at the yacht club, or do people just not value money. It's not like Ford isn't going to build millions of these things.
If people refused to pay then it wouldn't be happening in the first place.
