The piece that goes over the rear seats is a single piece. So two over the front, one over the back, and the rear cargo equals 4 piece. There is talk of an optional modular top that allows the rear side windows to come out separately.
The 4 door posted above has a horizontal seem that runs above the rear window, so does ever other hard top bronco non-cgi picture out there. I would guess that this is the modular top, and that it's standard on all 2 doors and 4 doors. I thought I saw a picture where the rear windows were out and top was still on recently, but went back and looked and it was a soft top "bimini" with no sides.

Do you think that the 2 door hard top will be removable with just one person? I current have a 2 door wrangler and it is either a two person job or you have to spend money on a lift to remove it. It’s really a pain.

I've never had a removable roof, so i'm not sure. I would image that front panels are easy because they are split and half size. but the rear is still the full width of the car.

Doubt it. Maybe the top with removable windows.

Yeah I'm not sure why they did that?

Just one extra seam for wind noise and water leaks

For the benefit of being able to open only one side, and making the removal a little easier?

Maybe it makes removing the front panels so much easier for smaller owners that they decided it was worth it
Wrangler has the same setup. I think it's a good idea. You may want the panel open on your side while the person on the other side may not.

There is a video where someone caught the Bronco handlers putting the back section of the hard top on a 2 door - and it took two people to get it lifted up onto the vehicle.

Is it possible to have the driver side on, and not the passenger side? How do they lock in place, or is there so sort of panel overlap? And removal sequence?

I haven’t seen full removal of the front pieces in action... but we know you can have the passenger side on with the driver side off.

I thought this has been common knowledge for a minute now. The 2 door will have a 3 piece roof, the 4 door will have a 4 piece roof, with both have the split front section. I think JK's and JL's have been like this. Makes them easier to manage, since these are the parts that will most likely be removed and reinstalled most frequently.
Four pieces for sure

There have been a couple of images shown of the underside, but I can't locate them. The front panels have 1/4 turn latches to hold them in place. There are 2 in front, 2 on either side and I believe 1 connecting to the 2nd row panel.

This was the 360 interior view... has three latches for the two front panels, front, side, rear.

Has anyone seen the roof with just the front 3 panels? This is Probably the way I’ll set up 8 months of the year.
