It's a legitimate complaint,

It does sound awful and cheap

Not a deal breaker but it's another straw on the camel's back
It doesn't cost more to make a nicer sound than it costs to make that annoying racket

Lincoln's have a different noise, ford made the mainstream one bad on purpose
