🤣🤣 your not alone. The one downside well two in Michigan if I need a winch there’s a good chance I’m in mud or snow pretty deep. With the hidden I’d have to fish around for the end to pull it up. ,
At this point the winch is submerged and as we have seen the control box is NOT water tight!,
You would have to extend the clutch engage lever or lay down and find and then it to unspool the line. Then fish around to re engage it.
You do have to cut some frame extensions off to mount this and if you took a good hit to the front lower you could damage the winch or whatever the winch hits.
I do like my winch higher mounted.
I get a light bar mount this way
My control solenoid is damn high and will not be submerged and if it is I have a lot bigger problems.
I like my winch where it is.
I like relocating my camera.
I like relocating my control box.
I like moving my parking sensors.
I like blocking the radiator's air flow.

Its all done!

The JCR pre-runner bar doesn't lean quite as far forward as I was hoping, but overall I love this setup.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for a camera mount that can mount directly to the round tube, and maybe relocate the winch control pack under the hood to clean things up just a little. All in all its a pretty bolt on setup that has no loss or compromises in any factory capabilities and features.

Looks good! I believe you could find or have a fab shop make some bands to go around the tube and reuse parts of the Jcr mount to make it happen.

That pre-runner bar makes all the difference in the world to how the camera mount looks... you needed a large mass tilted forward at the same angle to make it work.
👏👏👏

I'll be saying this for the next week or two.

Thanks. 😑
Imo that list is better than a submerged winch, inaccessible lever, lower approach point, and messing with cutting off frame extensions and relocating the oil cooler or whatever it was.

Well it took less an hour to put then RC high mount on, and then another 30 min to put the LED light filler panel in...........
Whoever built that didn't have their spec sheet in front of them or something. Spent 20 min grinding the thickness of the side tabs down so it would fit lol. Other than that, no issues, no sensor issues either. Still need to carve out the plastic covers.

Yeah LED panel wouldn’t fit on mine, decided to buy a RC light bar instead and leave it open for the time being.

My light bar that came with it was a pain was too long for the mount.

I didn't take any, it's just the mount, no winch on there yet. Just a beer and snack tray as of now lol.
Ohh buddy your in for a treat lol. While not technically hard to trim the panels I found it hard to translate from then instructions. But it turned out well.

Does anyone have a review of the lightbar? Wondering if it is worth adding.

@'21OBX said he was having issues fitting the RC light.

I haven't received it yet, but I'm going to do an experiment with a cheaper hidden 20" bar mounted behind the supplied grille (it matches my BL grille pretty well, so I don't want to remove it... and I don't really like the look of light bars). I'll post after I get it mounted and see how much the depth and grille pattern affect the beam. FYI, here's what I ordered.

light bar and headlights low beam. Then just headlights. I have never had a light bar before so I can’t compare but it does throw some light.
