Id be surprised if you are able to add a just a rear locking diff as a stand alone option.
It would be so awesome though. Particularly if alternate diff gearing was on the option list. Used to be like that back in the day, you could choose two or three optional diff gear ratios. It doesn't really cost Ford anything. But now often you have to pay for higher end models as packaged with the diff gearing.

Edit: By the way, Jeep offers a stand alone $600 rear LSD on the Wrangler, and with it you get the uprated stronger rear axle. And I think the manual Wrangler comes standard with the uprated rear axle. Hoping Ford offers something similar.

AS I suspected, based on my wanted builds, I can have 4 trim levels within $3000 of each other, as follows:

I just received a survey form Ford in regards to the Bronco. Throughout the survey, they ask which packages and options you would consider purchasing. There are prices stated. I'll add the screenshots.

What gets me on this one is $3700 to add the molded top to your free soft top. Well, that is if you do a free soft top delete in order to get the MIC GRAY hardtop.

Why is the 2.7L with auto $1,900 over the 2.3L (optioned with an auto)...for all trims...with the exception of OBX, where a 2.7L auto is $1,600 over standard 2.3L auto?? Seems like a typo. Its the only trim that comes standard with an auto, so maybe it's less costly for Ford to convert over from a 2.3L auto to a 2.7L auto?? Or maybe given its the on-roading trim that comes standard with an auto (and the 2.7L must be an auto), its lower hanging fruit to convert OBX buyers to the 2.7L at only $1,600?...Just trying to justify something that leads me to believe that is not a typo.

I get that but you are also giving them your manual transmission and your 2.3L in exchange. It is way too high in my opinion. That puts a SAS + 2.7L at nearly $10,000. That's too high.
That's not how it works at all......

Does anyone know if the $5,000 Sasquatch package also includes switching to the Automatic (since Sasquatch isn't available on the Manual?

I'm trying to read before I bail, but I figured since you all love me so much around here you'd save me a little time ?
Just messing with you. ? It appears to be highly likely that the $5000 is including the Auto. No conformation yet.

Using the new info from @GeneralBoisvert it appears Ford is planning to give us our Sasquatch with a manual (Manquatch) package. From the photo below:

F952DB6D-995B-4EFC-B393-35478B315536.jpeg

Notice it says “currently”. That means they are doing more than thinking about it. If it wasn’t available, they would state it as such. (i.e. 2.7L with the stick). Good news!
I believe this is say Sas is currently unavailable with the manual, meaning they are thinking about that. I don't think it eludes to making the manual available with the 2.7

Well, nothing is changing for me.

4 door Black Diamond soft top with 4 cyl, manual tranny. Non-metallic color Area 51 or White so no extra there.

Add Mid package and Tow package 1500 and 600. Destination 1500.

$42,145 MSRP plus tax

I'm genuinely surprised, on the Ranger forums it took until the actual build and price went live for the S-show of posts about not being "listened to" or that packages are too expensive to start up and membership slowly drop as folks with dime-store price ranges found out they couldn't max-build the vehicle of their dreams within their means.

Bronco forum hasn't even gotten to the B&P before the unrealistic feelings of victimization come out and price-rage sets in!

That a major for-profit manufacturer who has been in business for over a century and has a global supply chain sets prices that A. make a profit and B. reflect upon the "value" or costs to bring that item to market, sparks such anger about pricing is genuinely confusing to me.

This was true with Ranger that people who had back-of-napkin calculations for an absolutely fully optioned and top-trim Lariat priced at about $4,500 over the "base" stripped down price furious and shouting that Ford hadn't "listened to them" or "understood what will sell vehicles".... No my friends, its us. We don't understand the costs to bring technology and parts to production and market. Yes there is profit built in there, that's what they are in business to do. And they know how to price trim/content to pull that profit while also providing the product you want to pay for.

Base 4dr also comes with auto as standard equipment.
