Hey B6G!

I took delivery in April '22 and have been enjoying the ride ever since. Love seeing some of the unique builds that come across this site, even if I have no budget or taste for them!

That said, I'm completely new to this type of vehicle and looking for your 2 cents on where you see the trendline going...

Being here for a few years I've seen guys say 33", 35", and now 37" is a sweet spot for their Bronco. Tires seem to be getting incrementally larger over time, and manufacturers are now catching on so they don't leave aftermarket money on the table. Is there a logical end to ever-growing tire size?

Disclaimer - not looking for upgrade advice. Just curious where you guys see this going in 5-10-20yrs. Or if going to an EV Bronco will change that equation.

40's are the next "level" tire beyond 37's. Sure there are sizes in between, but all the things you would need to change to support true 38" tires will also support 40's so why stop at 38"?

I don't think we'll see a shift to 40" everyday tires anytime soon though.

40” would be the best for off road, only way to get any ground clearance. Just waiting for the right upgrades to come along.

37s seem to be the “safe” tire. Anything larger could possibly, and not saying the 37s won’t, but anything larger could put strains on tie rods, axles, diffs, trans, motor. Plus you need adequate aftermarket suspension to even clear, not to mention fenders.

Jeep Guys are rocking 40s like they are 37s...... Many Many manufacturers, like Nitto, M/T ....have 42s and 43s that ride nice on the road now. Without Axle upgrade, I wouldnt off road with something that large, but trips to the store.....

The Nittos are closer to a true 37. I may get some 38s, but thats it or it wont fit in my garage with a roof rack system.

It doesn't really matter what the trend is. In 10yrs,we will all be smoldering due to global warming and rising oceans. But before that happens our electric grid will fail due to all of the new EV's that are plugged in when the grid usually gets to reset and reset. We are all to blame for this, since we are all aspiring to be global haters and killers by purchasing this oversized waste of global resources.

Oh, wait, I meant to say I could see 37's becoming more normalized but 40's......man, I'm not sure of that. :ROFLMAO:

At the OEM level I don't see many willing to venture beyond 37's. They have to consider the COG of the vehicle and roll over possibilities.

You are all amateurs. 54's are the next logical step.

But is it a true 54" or just 53" or so?
