Does anyone have a rattle that comes from the area where the rear tire is mounted on the tailgate? I have the sas wheels and tires on and the rattle happens all the time. Looking for a solution. Not sure if there is not enough support for the weight?

Yeah I had the same thing happen on my old 2023 Bronco I think there’s a tailgate recall on it if you look through the threads

Yeah there's a TSB on the tailgate, but personally I wouldn't want to drop off my car for a replacement because I don't think the finish will come out as well as good as it did from the factory.

A lot of people had luck using grease on some spots in the tailgate, there's some more info here

Thanks! Yeah i just read through some of the horror stories of people who brought theirs in for the replacement. Gonna try using the grease first.

Also check that the hinge bolts are tight. I had that issue. Tightened the bolts and it went away.

I have a 22 Wildtrack built in August of 22. Right outside of the TSB notice:

“2021-2022 Bronco vehicles built on or before 25-Jul-2022 may exhibit a rattle noise from the tailgate.”

I tried the white lithium grease trick mentioned above and it helped a little, but the rattle is still there. My Bronco is currently at the dealer (going on two weeks) for this issue.

Grease and a tailgate reinforcement fixed mine.
