Hello all,

I have read a great deal on this site related to setting up a HAM Radio in a Bronco but I wanted to ask a follow-up question. I want to locate my antenna on the rear of my bronco but as of yet, I can't find an adapter that will work. I will be using a PL-259 connector and the adapter needs to allow for this. I have found a several but they are all for GMRS radio antennas and not for a PL-259 connector. Does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks

I believe you are needing an SO-239 mount that accepts a PL-259 connector.
One place to look. https://theantennafarm.com/shop-by-...unts/mobile-antenna-mounts/pl-259-type-mounts

Some places call it a UHF connector.

Yes, you are correct. Bad choice of words.

I have the antenna and I have the cable. I just need a mount that allows the cable to pass through and connect with the antenna and holds both in place. This is what I used on my hold f150 but then had to take it all out when I bought my new bronco. The mount I used on for truck will not work on my bronco so I have to find another one.

I saw something which said the proprietor of theantennafarm is in poor health, and I think sales were being curtailed.
Damn shame, I bought quite few things from them...cheap prices, good service.

I have a Comet BB5-NMO at the tailgate of my Bronco connected to a Yaesu FTM400. For mounting the antenna, I used a "Hooke Road Wrangler JL CB Antenna Spare Tire Mount" from amazon and it was only $15.99. I used a cable that unscrews at the NMO connection and it fit perfectly.
