On the B&P its almost $2k for the mod top which probably makes the MIC just fine for me I like the gunner hatch but going with the 2Dr, I expect taking the top off will be easy.

Carbon monoxide does not rise or fall it mixes with the air almost perfectly. Outside it’s not a threat unless you are parked in a crater. Any outdoor air movement will dilute and blow away the gas harmlessly. Carbon monoxide needs time to hurt you.
So in your scenario, CO would have to come out of your exhaust pipe, make its way up to the top of the vehicle, penetrate through the walls of the tent, and accumulate in high enough concentration to cause CO poisoning. I would love to see the CFD analysis that would show how that would happen.A fabric tent is not sealed from the exhaust fumes that will raise vertically.
What is located vertically above the exhaust pipe?
Now you ask yourself, are you lucky enough that only a low level dilution of exhaust gases will propagate their way into the tent?
Your zero risk is only true if the laws of physics are no longer true.
This company says they will produce a Bronco top.Really excited for this. Not just because it’s more open air.
but if you remember , they talked about 3rd party support for the side windows. But what about 3rd party support for the roof? What kind of cool stuff could be added?
moon roofs? Attatchment panels for storage?
maybe even a staircase from a rooftop tent
This article says it’s from people bringing bbq pits and generators inside..... people have been sleeping in their cars foreverWith our Texas blackouts this week
Houston alone is reporting 500 carbon monoxide poisonings.
More than 500 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning have now been reported in Houston
Other news reports from the rest of Texas
Some may recall many Police dept complaints with the Explorer. To my knowledge car heaters and ac units do not give off carbon monoxide
Is that to prevent dutch ovens?Patented "Tent Vent" TM, $799, shipping included.
I thought there was the under seat vents?
It's a long-held complaint that those pathetic afterthoughts aren't going to blow well.Cars are sealed metal boxes why would a lack of rear seating ac/heating prevent heating/cooling of the tent
Incorrect sealing of the cabin is a fatal flaw in the design of the carSome may recall many Police dept complaints with the Explorer.
So would a tent on top of a vehicle have correct sealing?Incorrect sealing of the cabin is a fatal flaw in the design of the car
Outside it should not be a problem. If carbon monoxide is leaking into your cabin you can die from a road tripSo would a tent on top of a vehicle have correct sealing?
MK19 ftw... Thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk, boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom...Totally getting one. I wonder if there will be a Ford factory made mount for the M249 or MK19
I wish I had the chance to use one besides basic training...MK19 ftw... Thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk, boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom...
I was assigned to it for 3 years, while at the same time carrying the M203 attachment. I got to have all sorts of fun at the range. Sucked going to the field, though.I wish I had the chance to use one besides basic training...
This just gave me the idea of having a flexible hose or pipe that goes from one or more AC vents to the tent and if ones feeling cold simply turn on the vehicle from phone and boom cold tent!Ya I wouldn’t recommend sleeping with the car on. But if it’s 95 with humidity a quick blast of AC into the tent is the difference between sleep and no sleep
Yep. Won’t take long to chill the tent and with a phone you don’t have to get upThis just gave me the idea of having a flexible hose or pipe that goes from one or more AC vents to the tent and if ones feeling cold simply turn on the vehicle from phone and boom cold tent!
