I have done Ikea cabinets, and backsplash stuff, but this will be a bit more fancy.Nothing says "I did the work myself" like drywall.
Cabinets and trim carpentry though? Absolutely DIY.

nothing too special, I have a second reservation BL 4 door that is not getting converted. This is the first page, rest is marketing on goat modes and accessory's.Do you mind providing screen shots? I am very interested in seeing this email and how Ford worded it.
Lol. I switched my order at the weekend and they made out like it was a hassle to ārebuildā the order as I was changing trim vs just a couple options. Didnāt receive a confirmation from Ford either so no idea if they updated it or notYes, at least about 10 minutes sitting at a computer.
Not hard, I remodeled my entire home, I do hate hanging rock, especially the ceiling, had to rent a lift. but then I grew up helping my Dad build homes just take your time, anyone handy with tools can do it.I have done Ikea cabinets, and backsplash stuff, but this will be a bit more fancy.
I did the same and got a copy of the updated 'Preview Order' in like 2 hours from the dealer. Went from a BD to a BL. Ford won't send you an update email.Lol. Shouldnāt that read āDue to low order conversion rateā? LolFORD PRESS RELEASE, March 19, 2021
Due to overwhelming demand Ford is extending the Bronco ordering deadline until April 1, 2021.
Good to know thanks.. they showed me the preview order so should be good. Went from a BL to a OB SASI did the same and got a copy of the updated 'Preview Order' in like 2 hours from the dealer. Went from a BD to a BL. Ford won't send you an update email.
You are correct, but Ford will put their marketing spin on it.Shouldnāt that read āDue to low order conversion rateā? Lol
That's all fair. I too thought seriously about getting the sound deadening for awhile, but I think I'll ultimately have it done 3rd party. I'm also now thinking about a roof rack, but I want to easily be able to take the roof off, so for now that's on hold.I was set on getting a Base Bronco, 2-Door, Manual Transmission, Anti-Matter Blue with the switches (see pictures). I got my reservation the night of the reveal.
I am treating this deadline like Tax Day (April 15th) because I wonder:
1. Should I get the roof rack in my order, or wait, so I can use FP Rewards Points on it? Also, maybe they don't have the roof racks ready for my build (which may delay the build)? Will roof racks be more expensive as an accessory later?
2. Should I get the sound deadening headliner on the hard top for $500? That seems expensive. Should I do it on my own? That seems like a pain to figure out.
3. Am I too cheap to get anything else? Should I do B&P a bit more and "upsell myself" on something else? What would that be?
4. Will I be able to give up my 2016 Mustang that I love and paid off? Can I keep it? What about the re-doing the kitchen? Where will the money come from for all this?
Any advice would be appreciated, and if you are procrastinating, please let me know why, so I know that I am not alone.
I am in the same predicament here. Unfortunately, I have to give up the Mustang in my sig to get the Bronco. Thinking I want to hang onto my hybrid for commuting and eventually pass it onto my younger daughter in two years. I'd love to have two horses in my stable but that may not be practical.4. If you don't have plans for any accessories, I say use your FordPass points unless you'd really like the rack right away. You may need to wait a little bit to order it separately. You might even be able to get it slightly cheaper through the Ford dealers that discount accessories online. Worst-case, you won't get the slight discount your dealer may be offering (mine is 6%).1. The factory sound-deadening headliner has a more finished look. In theory, there will be after-market options, but if how they are on Wranglers is any indication, they will definitely look DIY. This is one thing I'm getting because there's no way to add this later and the unknown in the after-market is too much of a gamble for me.2. No need to upsell yourself on any accessories. My dealer left off the bimini canvas top on my order because he said it could be ordered separately, and I don't have to deal with shoving it the back of the bronco. So I say hold off on anything you can get just the same way as an accessory.3. Am I too cheap to get anything else? Should I do B&P a bit more and "upsell myself" on something else? You didn't say what kind of Mustang, so I can't help you there. If your kitchen is harvest gold or avocado green and you can't get the Bronco and do the kitchen and a HELOC is out of the question, you're going to have to make some hard choices.4. So, if we put an order in, the vehicle arrives and we donāt like it, we can just give it to the dealer to sell? Are you sure about this?Put the order in, if you change your mind you can cancel or let the dealer have it to sell.
Ha ha. True! You are correct. I suck with mud and tape but I can get away with it in a kitchen where every wall has something on it. Ceiling is another story!Nothing says "I did the work myself" like drywall.

you should down grade to a BD instead and check every optionI debate some of the same things also
I placed my order for the WT, was overly excited but as time wears on, my tacoma is paid off and the super excitement of the bronco becomes another vehicle I wonder if I should cancel. The freedom of no car payments might win out over jumping back into another vehicle loan for 48 months.
I will most likely wait to see timeframes from Ford in May before making a final decision.
you can always enter your build and add or subtract items up to VIN creation. Gives you time to think things through..
