Same. I tell people i have a reservation for one and it's either i see em all the time or.. you got one of those? ewww, i don't like them.

I've gotten that response a few times but only from Wrangler owners. Seriously its a great little SUV what is there to not like about it? Maybe some thing all SUVs should look like jelly beans?

From what I've heard -- there is no shame in the Sport wearing a Bronco badge. Lighten up people.

I haven’t been off-roading, other than dirt bike, in more than 30 years. My wife has only sat in the passenger seat off-road.

We used her Sport in Moab this weekend. She drove it up to Gemini Bridge and felt really comfortable doing so. I did Pucker Pass/Long Canyon top-to-bottom without issue. Never used GOAT mode, just 4H over rock and sand.

Yes, it’s a small vehicle but it’s capable and worthy of the Bronco name.

My family knows I'm buying a Bronco. My sister recently told a story about a friend of hers buying a Bronco for their son. I had to explain that it wasn't the same Bronco.

Then I had a breakfast with some old friends. I brought up the Bronco and they said they had seem them around and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. Ugh.

If people knew how costly and painful it is to come upon with a new name compared to reusing one you already have rights to you wouldn't question why they do it.

The confusion will last until the BS becomes nothing more than a trim level available for the Escape like it should be. Even Jeep wasn't dumb enough to name a completely different vehicle after the wrangler.

An idiotic marketing decision by Ford, taking an ionic model name like Bronco and turning it into a multi-model sub-brand. They did the same thing with Mustang and the Mach-E. Boneheaded.

If people say they have a Bronco whether it is a Sport and not a big boy it's still not as bad as bragging you drive a Mercedes when in fact you drive a clapped out C230 from 20 years ago or a new super base model B class and people hearing 'Mercedes' and thinking wow you must be doing well! Who cares what people think or say as long and they're friendly and genuine. It is funny though hearing exactly that "Why are you waiting for a Bronco when the dealer has a few on the lot". I'm waiting because I'm a huge fan of waiting that's why(sarcasm), and when I pull up next to a Bronco Sport in my Bronco I will look down from my window and think, that's cute.

I know of at least one BS owner who proudly posted that no sooner did he get his BS home than he ripped off the “Sport” badge; so he could show all his neighbours that he bought a “Bronco”.
