Said goodbye to the Steelies today in favor of the RTR tech 6 wheels. I plan on keeping the Steelies for the winter. I wrapped them with 285/70/17s (33s)no concerns with rubbing.

the +30 offset on the RTR wheels gives a slightly more aggressive stance. Very happy with the look.

Cost:
Tires: $1350 on tire rack
Wheels: $1100
Mount, balance, new TPMS stems: $600
So all in $3k

Did you get the full size spare? Just curious to see if people think it's necessary.
With the spare being visible on the rear it would look odd if it did not match.
If your going to take your Bronco off road then you want a full size spare. You should not use 4wd if one tire is a different size. This is part of the reason why from the factory four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles come with a full size spare nearly all the time.

These look awesome! So glad they fit! For the experts in the room will these 285/70/17 tires fit on the steelie 17 Inch rims? Are they wide enough for the tire? Thanks in advance for anyone that helps answer this.

Just to help put the size of the Bronco in perspective, here is a LT295/70R17 (33.5x12.5) Milestar Patagonia M/T next to the stock LT245/75R17 tires on my F-150 with the heavy duty payload package (7 lug rims), which sits pretty proud for an F-150. These are some big ass wheels. All I need is my Bronco!

NOICE ..... is there ANY reason why you can't install the original TPMS valves on the new tires/wheels?
generally the tpms does not transfer well between steel and aluminum wheels due to the steel being much thinner than the aluminum the wheels are made of. but i don't understand why the prices are so high for tpms sensors here. i priced a set of wheels on a major online site. and the tpms sensors were $ 27.00 each for the 2021 ranger. i cannot see why the tpms system would differ between these models.

Ford Bronco Bye Bye Steelies. Hello RTR Wheels on my 2021 Bronco 20210703_154456
the big wheels and tires look great, but accelerating them all the time during normal driving is going to make these cars really thirsty. that 245/75-17, should be a 31.5 to 32 inch tall tire, so the comparison looks to be a good bit more than an inch difference, but there is no load on the biggun...

great idea with the zip ties and I think ford used heavy duty hinges on the rear I’m hoping I noticed on the jeep there’s a 695 option for rear reinforced hinges lol. Can’t wait to see your bronco hope you get yours soon I’m still waiting for a build date
im sure the hinges are strong enough I just like the added security of the bumper mounted tire carriers. Plus if I decide to up to 37” in the future there won’t be an issue.

I’m still waiting on a date too. Getting impatient lol I’ve actually been looking at some some cheap 2 door jeeps since I sold my 4 door Jeep last year thinking I’d have my bronco by now.

My dealer seems to think I’ll be scheduled this month but honestly I’m sure he’s just saying that. Was told I’m within allocations but I’m a 2 door with squatch so who knows. I’m still crossing my fingers for next Thursday haha. Hope you get a build date with me!

Well, that's because it is 1.8" bigger (almost 2 inches). The 245/75R17 Dynapro HT is a 31.7" diameter tire. The 295/70R17 Patagonia M/T is a 33.5" tire (verified in my house with a tape measure).

So now you have Badlands money spent on the Black Diamond?

She looks awesome, don't get me wrong!

There's just a lot of hardware left off at that now-equal price.

if you go to 37's be aware that the spare will hit the center brake light in the back, it won't fit .... you will need some type adjustment back there, maybe even a new brake light mount

I personally think the black diamond interior looks better and it has sport mode.

Edit: plus i don’t like BFGs and would also be buying a second set of wheels and tires.
