Made a short video to show how easy it is to pop the vents out. Great to know in case you want to swap for different colors or if you break one.

The vent insert comes apart pretty easily as well. There are little clips at the top and bottom that snap apart (be gentle, they don't seem very sturdy). I haven't looked at just the little tic-tac part, but the insert can def be removed. How about removing the little chicklet or tic-tac part? I haven’t worked up the nerve to pry on the vents yet, so thanks for this.
Make a quick 30 second video of it and this thread will be complete!Just for information as I have replaced my orange inserts with grey inserts, the two outboard vents are smaller than the two inboard vents, helpful to know if you get some new vents and go the hard route and take the dash apart to swap pieces, not that that happened to me.......
All the colored grip portions are the same size however. They're very easy to remove you just have to gently pry up on both top and bottom at the same time and it should release very easily and slide off. It c-clamps onto the middle most blade on top and bottom with little fangs. There is even a centering guide so you can't put it on upside down.

Gouge across my dash hood says hello lolThanks for sharing this. I would recommend a trim removal tool instead, so you don't damage anything. Been there, done that lol.
