Had a random and interesting thought lately. If you could only bring one piece of off-road gear, what would it be? Not a full setup, not a bunch of stuff. Just one thing. What would you trust the most out there?

My boots.
I have only had to walk out of a stuck once, but I kind of agree. BUT, If I had had my handyman jack I wouldn't have had to walk out, so I vote Hi Lift.

BTW by the title I was going to say third gear low range...(10 spd auto)

I've had to walk out at least once that I can remember as well. I had one of those hateful jacks. If I didn't believe in packing out your own trash, it would have been chucked in the woods for the squirrels to deal with.

Also, I may be a bit different than most offroaders here. I'm not out there to just drive over stuff, I'm out to explore. A lot of that exploration happens on foot as well.

Four tire inflator/deflator system. It makes a huge difference in the rough stuff to drop down to 20 psi, then to be able to air back up once back on pavement.
