• New Ranchero on the Mustang platform, with Coyote and manual option.

• Bringing back Mercury. - All EVs get rebranded as Mercury vehicles and the Mach-E "not a Mustang" gets rebranded the Marauder.

But I'm still waiting for 2dr version, until then I prefer the Slate.

The starting price is $29,495. Not including the required $1,500 destination charge in the headline is silly.

I wonder what it looks like, at least it will have an AWD option unlike the Slate currently. I'm not sold on the naming, but time will tell on that. Feels like Ford is going back to the Merkur naming thing. I also don't know how another EV 'truck' is going to perform.

EV sales continue to grow globally, and Ford is a global company. Even in the U.S., overall EV sales have only dropped modestly on a year-by-year basis.

Kinda like Suvans... my buddy's nickname for most SUVs on the market these days. Basically family minivans disguised as SUVs.

But hey... I mean... can't blame automobile manufacturers. #1 sellers these days are 4-door pickups and crossover SUVs like the CR-V, RAV4, etc. Can't say they're not building what people want to buy.

I'm excited for the Fathom. My daily is an ID.4 and I'll be ready to move on from it in a year or two and the Fathom seems like a good option so far.

Limited initial specs certainly look appealing... yeah, the name is a little bit of a head scratcher... Just because, by definition, the word might make sense, does not necessarily translate to being a good name.... I'm a fan of Ford reincarnating legacy names, but I get the case here, not to. Just don't agree with it. But anyway, excited to see more info as it becomes available.

It's going to take something really special to pry the keys to my Maverick out of my hands.... this has potential!
