Acceleration of 2dr 2.3L Sasquatch vs 4dr 2.7 L Sasquatch ?

I have both. The 2.7L is faster stock. However, the 2.3L with the FP calibration is pretty equal to the stock 2.7L. I have a 2 door 2.7L SAS with 4.7 gears and a 4 door 2.3L with 4.46.

Old guys are wrong about how fast their 307 Nova was and the 1.2g it would pull on the track.

Just like being wrong about the wild vivid colors on most cars instead of the true 1% or less of cars.

Nothing hurt my feelings like getting in the family “classic” muscle car (it is a 86 Camaro Z28 with a 305…..) and getting roasted by the average city slicker and his v6 accord. Sure sounds great though!

My mom used to have a '72 Nova with a 307. I loved that car and also beat the crap out of it. As sporty as my teenage self thought that car was (at the time), it was a turd, even then. My friend had a Dodge Charger with a 318 in it and he smoked me at a stop light run. Yes, he had a slightly bigger engine, but his car was also larger/heavier.

It's ridiculous (in a good way) where we are today. My 14-year-old CTS-V in stock form (556hp) was claimed to hit 0-60 in 3.9 seconds when it came out and that model had claimed the record for the fastest lap for a production sedan around the Nürburgring.

My 10-year-old Roush (727hp) was claimed to hit 60 in 3.5 seconds.

Now you have sedans able to do 60 in low 4s. Base Corvette Stingrays doing that in sub 3 seconds and the higher models (Z06/ZR1) in the 2-second range, but at that price point you are getting into super car territory.

Back in the day, a Ferrari Testarossa did 60 in 5.8 seconds.
