Good morning Y'all.

My internal debate between a 2 door or 4 door is still raging and I can't seem to pick one.

A thought that recently crossed my mind is the difference in overall weight between the two options.

Just how much lighter do you think the 2 door will be? With wranglers it appears to be about 300lb.

In order for me to commit to the 2 door I need more tangible benefits aside from looks. If its significantly lighter than the 4dr I'd imagine the 2.3L engine will feel just fine and the MPG's will be slightly better.

Not sure a 300lb delta will do it.

The 2-door has rear seat cup holders! They're missing from the 4-door.

I think you know what to do now.. ?

Damn, didn't realize this post existed. Feel like a fool.
Regardless that weight diff seems extremely low for all the extra metal, even if its aluminum.

Hmm. Annoying.

The 4 door is a pretty significantly bigger vehicle. The 2 extra doors alone is probably close to 100 pounds, plus the bigger cargo area, larger hard top, longer roll cage, longer frame/driveshaft/ etc. I would bet the 4 door is close to 500 pounds heavier curb weight.

It is not a small vehicle.

Optimistic or conservative? I'm thinking @Nickp is closer in approximating the weight difference.
