The Ford chat support was way faster than trying to call. Unfortunately, I still have no VIN. Not surprised at all.

Agree. Just tried for the first time. Way faster. (~15 min). Same result - no VIN.

We'll see after the next Disappointment Thursd... I mean "scheduling week".

Just checked the chat and no change. Same as a few others, directed to speak with dealer for further updates.
Walk-in order 11/27/21 with Kearny Mesa.

Spent some time on chat earlier today only to be told that they can't find my order and that I need to contact the dealership because its probably still a reservation.

Then got an email at 4:13 p.m. with the VIN and a build date for the week of 3/28. Confused about the date as I thought scheduling this week was for April and early May but I'm not complaining.

You would have had to have been given a VIN during one of the previous scheduling periods.

Spoke to my Dealer, I was told built date is set for mid to end of May, delivery will be end of June. Funny I didn’t know they started scheduling that late already lol maybe they’re guessing and telling me what I want to hear

You answered your own question, chips. The brake controller is a module with a chip.

Got my VIN and build date of 5/2/22 yesterday!
Now, what are the chances of that date getting pushed back?

The tow package comes wired with an interface for a brake controller if you want to install one later, but it does not include a controller

Long time lurker - first post was always meant to be the build. I also got the email last Friday for a Badlands 2.7 SAS LUX for the build week of 3/21. I dropped the MIC 5 weeks ago to try and get a build before summer. If I didn't get a build last week, was going to switch my order to the raptor, but happy to hopefully take delivery by May. Good luck to those waiting!

Not like it used to be, VINs are definitely distributed without an assigned build week now. While it does usually happen in the vicinity (well, relatively speaking time-wise) of being scheduled, a VIN isn't the definite sign of an assigned build week it perviously was.
