🙌🏼 Update: My 2021 Bronco is Delivered and Home!!

It’s a joke. It’s just funny that Ford has been blaming Webasto for delays and then the first one we see has a hardtop.

They have been accumulating hardtops for customer orders for the past several months. It is definitely not a joke. They staffed the Webasto plant with furloughed workers, sent teams of engineering and production people to the plant an eventually completely took over the operation. There are several other issues, but this was the single largest. I live near the plant and would drive by just to witness the insanity. I also have a personal connection to someone in the plant who has verified the ongoing issues. This is all backed up by local media accounts and other automotive press as well.

It will be between $800-1200. It's a friend of my brother's. I don't have a garage, and I park under an oak tree, so I don't want the sun and goop from the tree destroying the paint on my million dollar investment! Haha.

Planning on running mine with a clear plexiglass hood so everyone can see I’m not over compensating with my I4 single turbski. Want to make sure everyone can count the cylinders.

I’m not in Michigan, but even if the delivery is as quick as within a week as some we’ve seen, I’ve got a real first-world problem. My build date is July 15. I’ll be out of town for the first time all year (since Thanksgiving actually) from 7/17 through 7/24. I can just about guarantee mine will arrive while I’m gone.

Ironically I’ll be gone on a trip with some old buddies 9 hours from home, and we had initially hoped the Bronco would be here in time to take.

Good problem to have.

Not to worry brother, I'll be available to pick your baby up if you need. I'll even try to get those pesky break-in miles out of the way for you. Drop me a line, I'm there for you.

Heads up, awesome brand for those coatings is Ceramic Pro if you can find it. Had that on two of my trucks and it worked like a charm. Can’t remember the name of the stuff I got on my Mustang but it sucks

Salesman texted me this a few minutes ago. Order showed up on the truck today! Taking delivery as soon as they prep it!

Specs: SAS, MIC, Towing, high package.

Timeline: Build date was the 18th. Built date was the 19th. Delivery window was the 24th -30th. Showed up on the 22nd.

Update: Went to the dealership to check it out. They already had it in the back getting ready to prep it. Should have it tomorrow evening after I do this work thing. Will post updates as they come. Will try to get a hold of the PDI checklist.

Update #2 Dealer has been great to work with, it’s all prepped and ready to go, unfortunately my wife and I can’t pick it up until tomorrow afternoon because of our schedules not the dealers. Here’s some more pictures to hold you over…

Update #3 She is in our possession! Had 7 miles on it when we took possession. Did the paperwork, got the keys, drove around. I will hold off on impressions and reviews for a later post. But here is a couple pictures of delivery and “Jeep hunting”! My wife looks good in red!

Thanks to Fox Grand Traverse Ford for the wonderful service and arrival pictures! Thanks to our salesman Derek, 20 years worth of car buying and I’ve bought every vehicle I’ve ever owned from the same Ford salesman. Couple guys at the dealership are Bronco6g members and have been following this so here’s a little shout out to them!
