The install was not simple, I mean it was simple for me, but not so much for 4 Wheel Parts.
The steps are OEM placed too far forward for mud flaps to clear so there is a process to make it work.

Well, EDD just got bumped from 02/22 to 02/26… sigh… feels like a carrot and stick… And I just keep following

Front bumper license plate holder.
AR Call Sign. - not compatible with bill bar.
Builtrite holder- not compatible with my light kit or tow hooks.

plan C - no front plate for now.

I need some suggestions for new wheels. This morning while getting some Nitto Ridge Grapplers put on the shop was having a terrible time getting the rings off. They ended up scratching several places on 4 of the 5 wheels and one bolt was so bad it would not go back in correctly.

To their credit before I even saw any of this, they told me that they would replace the wheels with a set of my choice. Since I had not planned on getting new wheels, I am starting from scratch looking for new wheels.

I have a Wildtrak, Race Red.

Ran errands with my wife this morning. Someone honked and the following happened.

"Someone honked at you."
"Yup."
A few seconds of silence.
"Is it because of the Bronco?"
"You get used to it."

And yesterday I got a reaction I shall call "the Jeep double-take."
Parked in the sun @ our running trailhead on a busy back road, Jeep drives by.
Driver stares at glistening Eruption Green un-Jeep, looks at road, jerks head back, gawks again.

Finished the oil change

it definitely drains for a good hour.

one more thing I noticed….the OEM rings on the filter housing are reddish in color….

some of the color had flaked off like little pieces around the housing and also in the engine housing.

No idea if that’s little rubber pieces, paint, or plastic. But just something to keep an eye out for if you do an oil change.

yea it’s from the filter housing

I hope none of that got in there

I wanna hope it was just from unscrewing it.

i cleaned it out of the area there on the motor where the filter goes

you are correct - pure bs. if want to fight DM me and will give you my dealers info and provide copy of my invoice showing $100 reservation, deposit, and price protection were subtracted from cost when took delivery.

Can also provide proof you are entitled to $1000 from satisfaction fund (i spent on accessories). Dealer has to provide Ford all kinds of documentation of order including actual invoices for all of the parts so may need to push to get them to do.

Can you send me the info on the $1k satisfaction entitle? My dealer is giving me crap on it too, but I'm not letting it go....thanks

Well, it’s signed sealed and delivered. Process was generally smooth, but of course they said the points and $100 reservation fee were between me and Ford, which I’m certain is bullshit. I was just too excited to argue at the time and will deal with it next week. Like everyone said it’s amazing!

Finally!!! Looks awesome...way to go!!
