Metal-tech 4x4 Rock Sliders for the 6th Gen Bronco

At Metal-tech 4x4, we build everything with one guiding principle: we actually use what we make, and we use it hard. Our sliders are no exception. These are 100% frame-mounted, 100% bolt-on, and 100% built in-house in Oregon, USA — not overseas, not outsourced.

Mounting System

Our latest mounting system is completely U-bolt-free. Instead, we tie directly into existing features on the Bronco’s frame. The result is a stronger, cleaner install that bolts up securely with no modifications required.

Our Trademarked 2-Stage Rub Rail

Metal-tech 4x4 holds U.S. Trademark Registration No. 4,010,850 for our 2-stage rub rail design. This isn’t just marketing — it’s a proven functional feature:
  • The front rail sits closer to the slider body, ramped forward for smooth engagement.
  • The rail then transitions into a trapezoidal rear kick-out, set farther from the body and ramped back.
  • This design allows you to slide smoothly over obstacles (rocks, trees, ledges), and then the kick-out helps push the truck away, protecting your quarter panels.

Any pictures from the bottom showing the mounting both on frame and body?
Absolutely. 100% bolt-on, we do NOT touch the body. These are all frame-mounted.

The rear mount picks up the extra-reinforced part of the lower link mount. Clears any aftermarket links without issue. This leaves a very clean line under the frame.

4D: Picks points on the face and underside of the frame—100% bolt-on.

For the 2D only:
The front mount utilizes our sub-bracket, which bolts on first, making installation easier. This submount picks up features along the side of the frame and extends under, securing the reinforcement transmission crossmount. 100% no modifications to your frame.

What a relief! I thought I had noticed Bronco inventory getting low , I was afraid you guys were getting out of the Bronco game, which would be bad because the reputation your products carry is fantastic. Hard corps, heavy duty stuff !!
Glad to see it was an update /improvement on existing designs!

Very excellent. But I have suspension mounts tied in there and the factory mounts cut off.

Besides the flared-out portion (I prefer them straight for easier sliding) it looks solid 👊🏼👊🏼

Went to their website. Looks like they offer an angled set as well as a flat set.

Doesn't look like they will work if you have NVM skid plates installed.
Not that it matters anyway since I need the electric drop steps to get my fat ass in the vehicle.
I just chopped a big chunk off the NVM skids to accommodate the new trailing arm mounts. Just takes a little bit of cutting wheel or sawzall then anything fits!

I just dropped the skids to install an oil pan. What a pain in the penis those fuckers are especially working by myself. I unlike you, don't have a wife willing to get dirty in the garage.
The dog is willing but without opposable thumbs is not much help

I installed them the first time by myself. Wasn’t easy. She took them off by herself getting creative with a jack, but having both of us put them back on was so much better

I am a little confused…they look like unfinished prototypes in the photos? Plus I only see three bolts holding them on? I have come down pretty hard (my JCR frame mounted sliders have bent my rockers) for three bolts…but I seem to over engineer stuff…

Same question, and why do the welds look like a bunch of trigger welds? And what is the point of the trademark, it's just a picture, which is just marketing; this is not a patent of any mechanical design. Where is the documentation for the "proven" feature?
