14.6 L/100K = 16.3 MPG (US gallons, not Imperial gallons)
And if I drove at 70mph everywhere I went, beyond likely having been arrested by now, your statement would have some bearing (assuming you're going by my fuelly signature)

7800 miles on my 2.7 badlands sasquatch and have averaged 16.8 mpg according to the trip readout that has been set for like 6800 miles now. That is including my 3,000 mile round trip to the north east and back over the holidays which was all interstate. Probably averaging about 75-80 mph.

Actually! I forgot that I filled up today at Costco, cleared the trip in the parking lot and then drove 20 miles on the highway at 65mph and was averaging just over 18mpg. Today was 28° in St Paul. I think this thing will exceed my expectations for highway MPG. Must be that rear sway bar 🤣😂🤣🤪

Here are some carefully curated tips for maximizing your MPG:

1) use street tires. Lower rolling resistance really maximizes mileage. off road tires hurt it.
2) cruise gently, take as long as possible to get up to the speed limit and never exceed it.
3) never EVER go off road. like, ever. stick with the smoothest pavement you can find.
4) skip winter altogether. summer too.
5) drive like a grandma (not my grandma though, she was nuts)
6) Choose a vehicle designed for economy, not one designed for utility
7) this one is probably the easiest one. Anyone can do it: stop looking at your MPG meter and just go have some fun

Are in my first two tanks of gas with 87 and used eco mode, I think I was averaging 16 to 17 MPG and that's me driving lightly. Most of my driving is on two lane back roads so the tank where I got 17 I was probably averaging 55 mph whereas the one where I got 16 was averaging probably 68 mph. I'm going to keep track of what I'm getting just out of curiosity. I just filled up with premium gas and I'm going to run regular mode now.

I just went over 10,000 miles this week. I am getting 23.4 with my 2.3 Outer Banks. I have gone on two off road trips which was a total of about 4 hours of hard driving. I initially used 93 fuel, but switched to 87 after my first oil change, some research and prices shot up. My mileage went up quickly after the switch and oil change. I do about 1,000 miles a month. I rarely deal with traffic due to my odd work schedule. 70% highway/ 30% urban or farm to market roads. I got an oil change at 4200 miles with full synthetic and am now 10,200 with 40% oil life according to the settings on the dash.
