Haha….. Would you recommend just a “drop in” versus a full CAI?What you’re running stock is much better in every way.
imho
(not being a smartass)
Thank you. Makes sense. I will just being installing a drop-in filter.Unless you are upgrading turbos and everything you will see no gain over just adding a better filter. Now if you are doing it for looks or sound go right ahead. Just when it comes to power the gain is coming from the filter and you will get the same gain from putting a better filter in your stock box. If you search the F150 forum it has been tested time and time again same with exhaust. Its been a minute when I did all the research for my F150 but I want to say 5 star tuning tells you all you need is the tune and a filter to get the gain.
This is not true at all K&N air filters are very goodAn actual CAI doesn’t suck air from under the hood for one thing…….actually a pretty big “one thing”.
and K&N filters suck compared to OEM

If you have results on A, B, and C post them up or send me a link?On the 2.3 testing we have done so far the Bronco Air Box is a let down compared to other EcoBoost vehicles in the line up.
We are going to be doing 2.7 testing soon when we get more intakes in

A. Stock
B. Stock with aftermarket filter, K&N or comparable.
C. Aftermarket cold air intake.
With a EcoBoost my money is on no more than 5hp max over B and C. Thats like 1.5hp per $100 spent. You will never feel 5hp gain also. Even if a tuner is added my bet is on 7hp max between B and C.
I'm not hating I just stand behind my cold air intake should be bought for looks or sound not power.
