ok so i have a 3.5 10 speed in my f150 .. the 2023 2.7 is a HUGE let down.. there is literally no boost on this thing in when you launch it , sport mode isnt even close to what it is in the f150 .. seems like the wastegate is always open unless your flooring it.. even then its a huge lag..

My 2.7 eco that I had in my f150
Was quicker 0-60 than my buddies 3.5 eco. Not by much but still. You might have an issue. 2.7 is no slouche. Mine would smoke the tires.

The 2.7 in the f150 is quicker. The 2.7 is definitely turned down from ford. I’d guess the difference in the transmissions is why ford doesn’t give it more in the bronco.

Doesn't the Braptor have the same transmission as the Bronco?

Probably, not 100%.

I just know the transmissions are different between the bronco & f150. The F150’s is beefier.

I've never driven the 3.5 F150 but the 2.7 isn't as pathetic as you are making it seem. It's definitely not fast but it feels pleasant to drive and has a little "attitude" in it's own respect. There are definitely certain instances where you can feel the turbo lag more than others usually when paired with the need to downshift but overall the turbos are small enough it's not a significant issue. I would wonder if there is something wrong with yours.. What PSI are you seeing max? Also, there are a lot of factors that can affect the butt dyno perception.

Coming from a Livernois Tuned 3.5 platinum explorer to a 2.7 Panda "tuned" Bronco, there is no comparison, and i didnt expect there to be. With that said i feel once actual "tunes" are released by companies like Livernois etc, we will see a huge difference as these 2.7s are pretty detuned from the factory.

Running the Panda Motorworks Module in Sport Mode and on Level 4 of the Tuner, it does wake the Bronco up significantly.

If there’s 0 boost from your turbo, sounds like a warranty issue.

The broncos have a completely different drivetrain and are definitely slower than the F150's with the 2.7L/3.5L's. You can however increase the power of your bronco with either a plug and play JB4 device which will make a significant difference. Other options for more power would be a full flash from Whipple or the Ford Performance procal device with their calibration.

We carry all of it here at Lethal Performance so if you're wanting more power and to wake your bronco up give us a shout and we'll be glad to assist you.

We're still awaiting emissions approval from Ford Performance on the 2023 MY's. The JB4's work on the 23's as they aren't a flash.

As soon as the Ford Performance 23 tunes are available we'll be sure to let everyone know. You can purchase the device now and once the tunes are available you'll be able to use the device to register with Ford Performance and download the cal file for it.

Let us know if you have any other questions in the meantime.

Thanks!
