Never seen an oil pan plug like that (tho all my vehicles are >13 years old). Is there a magnet on the end of the drain plug to catch metal bits?

This is on my list for the first oil change:I cannot express how much I hate this plastic plug. Not for safety or reliability concerns, but because I have used a plug magnet for years to loosen/remove the plug without getting oil all over everything, and now I can't do that.
I'll get over it, sure, but I'm not happy right now lol.
Thanks for the vid either way! Awesome to see the full process!
Where has THAT been all my life??This is on my list for the first oil change:

Thank you very much as I watched the video on 2.3L and the filter removal was a bear. The 2.7L is much easier so I'm glad I have the 2.7L on order.Panda Motorworks has the 2.3 covered with a video here and below is one for you 2.7 folks if you want it
That's exactly what I was thinking. As if there hasn't been enough crap during this roll out, not we have to worry if the dang OM is correct. If you go get your oil changed right now you'll have an engine overfilled by 1 quart because all the materials are calling for 7 quarts. Do it yourself until Ford sorts out this misprint mess.
Thank you and appreciate the time and video.Panda Motorworks has the 2.3 covered with a video here and below is one for you 2.7 folks if you want it
Good to know. Ronin's was sold out and I was curious about the Femco one.FEMCO makes a better and lower cost option. I have it on my 2.7 and it's great.
Great Video. I saw a post somewhere if you open cap and remove oil filter first, the drain is faster and releasing all oil. Not sure it makes a difference in amount of oil drained, but I'll measure it first.
