For anyone who has used a 303 product for the soft top.....did you use Fabric Guard or Aerospace Protectant?

I'm wondering if I should buy the Aerospace Protectant for everything including the top....or...if I need Fabric Guard for the top and Aerospace Protectant for everything else (MGV seats, fenders, dash, etc)?

Ge the Aero 303 kit for convertible tops. I already had it for my wife's Mustang convertible. The Bestop soft top we added to our 2dr seems to be almost identical in material to the Mustang top. It's a cleaner and protector. Easy to use and not pricey.

Could you expand on your opinion? I see no reason for what you stated. ??? I use this all the time on plastics and now on my MGV seats. It's what it was meant for...
According to 303 we’re fine to use it on just about anything, including marine seats.

Correct, that is why I was asking RainbowStix about their opinion and why they state it shouldn't be used for things we sit on...

i use it on the mgv as well.
Just make sure to not use too much. You’re not supposed to leave them wet with the stuff.
Kind of buff them with a clean dry towel afterwards and it’s fine on seats.

You shouldn’t put Aerospace Protectant on something you’ll be sitting on, see https://www.nrs.com/assets/downloads/msds/msds 1909-303 protectant.pdf

I think the confusion is that the MSDS states "possible irritation" under skin contact risks. But this is for the product, not the treated vinyl left behind.

The last page of the MSDS clearly lists boat seats as an intended use.

He probably meant it will be super slick if you use too much of it.

My point was that it shouldn’t be used on surfaces where your skin makes contact. Will give immediate effects if you’re sensitive and some long term ones if you’re not. As always, your choice. My issue with it isn’t on efficacy. It works great on the seats, even better than boat seats because it’s not in the elements. may even provide a marginal improvement on its life expectancy, but not for your’s :)

if you want to care for your seats without the health risk, treating it like leather is a good route.
