I am seeing lots of people upgrading from the stock 33" BFG tires and rims to a 35" tire on the Badlands but they all seem to change the wheels/rims as well.

My question is, does anyone know if you can just put some larger tires on the stock (non-beadlock) rims and not add any lift? I think I saw crash bars may need to come out, but otherwise suspension is very similar to sasquatch...

Thanks for any thoughts

If I recall correctly, the verdict was they will fit but off-roading with them may be a problem (yes video title says 37s, but they started with 35)

Kenda makes a 35x10.5x17 that would work on the stock rims. I think most 35” tires are going to be too wide for the stock rims. If you can deal with a 34”, there are several nice options.

I’m pretty sure you’ll have issues with the offset because that’s a major difference between the Sassy rims and the stock badlands that deals with clearance. Crash bars will have to be removed but that’s pretty easy.

It's only 1/2" difference on the lift between the BL and sas, so the height isn't an issue. A 315/70r17 will be fine on an 8" wide wheel, so that's not a problem either. The only issue is the +55 offset. A 1" spacer will fix that, and yes, spacers are fine as long as they are quality, just don't buy ebay/amazon spacers and you're good. Go with Bora spacers. Then just remove the crash bars and boom. Done.

The old question asked again, can i fit on a Non SQUATCH Black Diamond 285/70 r17 using a 17 inch 35 positive offset without rubbing or removing or modifying front coils. any pictures of the look.

Thinking I might do the same if I can find a tire that will fit properly...Certainly watching this thread for ideas.

He's 6' 3". He mentions that in most of his videos.
Fell right into my trap.

He's yet to make one video he does not mention it.
