From factory it’s rated by NM, not ft-lb.The "80" in 10R80 stands for 800 ft-lb. 4R70W=700 ft-lb, 4R100=1000 ft-lb etc. Thats what they told us anyhoo
So a 10R80 would be 800 NM, which equates to 590 ft-lb

That's cheating! I know for a fact 4R70W was 4 speed 700 ft-lb "wide" ratio...went to the new model training class for that one! And 4R100, so Ford is cheating...wonder if they use circus ponies to measure the HP too? Noticed all these 300-400hp motors are kinda pedestrian compared to 225 hp v-8s we use to see! From factory it’s rated by NM, not ft-lb.

If it was anyone else I would just shake my head. Because it’s YOU I’m grabbing the popcorn
They switched it at some point. But they’ve been rated in NM for a while now. At least back to when the 6R80 was released. I’m not exactly sure how they rate HP these days. I’d assume it’s just crank HPThat's cheating! I know for a fact 4R70W was 4 speed 700 ft-lb "wide" ratio...went to the new model training class for that one! Well ya! Who wanted their 4R75W replaced by a 10R59? Either way that's what my book shows as the trans in Raptor R. Maybe you can confirm? Exactly. They were so close to getting it to fit, and then nothing...Will be following your progress @BigMeatsBronco ! I have been super bummed that the No Traction people have gone radio silent on their 5.0 build that I was following.
d60 ultimate rear...to match the front extreem duty spicer CVs and FDU stuff installed already. What are you planning for the driveline? Most of those parts were not designed for that much torque.
You already got the driveshaft right? The one w/the u joint in the rear?d60 ultimate rear...to match the front extreem duty spicer CVs and FDU stuff installed already.
Yep it’s a 10R80. I’ll have to dig into some information about what exactly is different as the workshop manual doesn’t really say.Well ya! Who wanted their 4R75W replaced by a 10R59? or alto reds/kolene steels. Race trans shop could possibly build one off a regular 10R80Yep it’s a 10R80. I’ll have to dig into some information about what exactly is different as the workshop manual doesn’t really say.
But I do know that the 10R80 in the Raptor R is specific to that model. So I’m assuming at very least, it may have additional friction plates in some of the clutches
The F150 t-case is quite a bit larger than the Bronco, so I could see some fitment issues there. It’s possible the ranger t-case is smaller. In the 5.0 build, I know they went with the 5.0/1080 from an F150 and then did a transfer case from a Ranger but I forget what the reason why they did that(I will have to go back and look).
