Yall want me to get into how we turn Uranium 235 into electricity?
Yes!

But really it's still just turbines and generators turned by steam from a really complicated heat source. Does that technically make it hydroelectric?

(I know it doesn't)

The most complicated pressure cooker on the planet that works off black magic, voodoo, fast neutrons, boron, xenon, and some fancy metal rods.

Now that you've got that figured out - tell me what's going on here:

That’s actually a very simple line diagram lol. My favorite diagrams are commercial rooftop units, they’re massive.

Well, this is way over my pay scale. To many fancy words and complicated formulas. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: That said, I do understand all the basics, sometimes it gets me in trouble. 😁

But I will say this. With all those ohms, volts and resistance formulated together you can come up with this............

Ad once they harness this 👇👇👇👇👇 EVs will be a thing of the past ;) ........

Peace out 🤘 ............

Entertaining thread. Watts, volts, and amps are not well understood concepts especially when talking car audio. I sold home and car audio for almost a decade after college and I can’t tell you how many times I tried to explain to customers that higher wattage car speakers are not necessarily louder. Quality amplifiers matter as does the efficiency of a speaker/subwoofer. Often their eyes would glaze over when I explained that a sub/speaker rated at 90db efficiency needed half the power of one rated at 87db. A simple concept that is foreign to most. The best way to explain it is some speakers get louder than others with the same amp hooked up to them and it doesn’t correlate with their wattage rating which is always exaggerated anyway.

My home speakers, Magnepans, are very inefficient speakers that need tons of power, but damn they image like nothing else and sound amazing. :)

What started out as a simple electrical explanation thread turned into all the elec experts showing up to say “my dick is bigger than yours”. Lol. Everyone gotta speak what they know and confuse everyone else.

I studied IE at Iowa State for two years, switched/took the easy path, and graduated with a marketing degree from U of WI. Never let your college classes get in the way of your education. :) It all worked out as I'm 57 and retired in 2018.
