Has anyone tried adding Sport mode to their 2.3t/7 speed manual Badlands?

Not sure what it would really do for a manual transmission, but I wanted to try it.

Forscan wouldn't let me change it, saying checksum error. It reverted my 'B' back to '9'. I figured it's because of the 7 speed?
I added sport mode to my Badlands 7MT. Pedal response is better and it seems to have changed the boost curve.

Did you change the 9 to a B?

ABS760-04-03xxxxxxxxx*--B = Sport Mode 9 = Off

Added Sport Mode to my Badlands last night using the Forscan thread. The difference in throttle response and acceleration is huge on the 2.3. Question for anyone with a non-badlands though, when you switch to Sport Mode does it automatically go to 4A?

Well, you can always just shift to "M" and use the "paddle shift" buttons and take it up to redline if you really want. I do this every few months just to blow the dust off.

It will NOT let me change that value. I tried it in accessory mode and with the truck running.

It's a 2022, so I wonder if Ford saw people doing this and put an end to it. That's literally what a checksum would be for. Confirm the correct values exist.

Or is not a "B" anymore.

Sorry, mine’s a 21. Not sure if they made changes for 22. Are you running forscan as an administrator?

I should have admin rights. I changed other settings already.

I can right click and run as admin

A ford tech on Facebook confirmed that he can't add Sport mode to his 2022 Badlands. He also confirmed on a 2022 base that the Sport mode code to change to is still a "B". So unless they changed another digit, doesn't look like we can add this to a 2022 Badlands.

After having my Badlands Squatch since Oct last year...I finally added this SPORT mode...and WOW! it made a big difference in holding the RPMs up more to have better throttle response. yes it goes into 4A, but change to 2H and you are good. One other thing is that it disabled my auto shutoff! perfect! With my intake and exhaust mods...sport mode has set me above the rest! :)

You should see what it does on the 2.7:ROFLMAO:

It's a great mode, seems like it changes the pedal curve and holds high RPMs for longer to keep you close to the optimal powerband. Although, I do wonder the reasoning behind the 4A switch, maybe because AWD is faster?

I enabled sport mode on my 2022 Badlands 7 speed MT. It really is a different mode than the rest. Works great, and I end up in Sport mode most of the time.

We're you able to use "B" on your 22?
