Adding Keyless Entry Keypad to 2024

The 2-door Black Diamond was just built and shipping soon - the other Broncos that we have all have the Keyless Entry Keypad but it was not an option when ordering the 2024.

I was planning to add the Keyless Entry Keypad (KB3Z-14A626-A), however my dealer checked with service and mentioned that there are issues getting this part to connect / work properly with 24 Broncos & SuperDuty trucks. Per service, Ford is working on a resolution or possibly a new keypad to resolve the issue.

Can anyone confirm this or share more info?

Sadly my 2024 doesn't have it either and I had no option to select when I built it in May.

Other people have added it with no issues, so I'm not sure why it would be any different now.

I bought one and the installation during one of the sales last summer.

Dealer connected it to my 2024. It works fine.

I haven't heard of anyone having issues with 2024 and the keypad, but admittedly I haven't tried personally. (Although I did do a 2024 Ranger a month or so ago without any issues.)

I bought mine a while back when Ford was having a 25% sale, had the dealer do the tech and it works fine on my 2024 - it lives on the back of the gas door, where I continually forget about it living in NJ

No issues with mine.

Bought from ford online and had to go to a different dealer than mine. I included the labor (1/4 hr?) for installation since some programming was involved, and had it installed behind the gas tank door.
This Ford dealer actually contracts these installations to another local company and they were experienced.

No issues with a Job 2 2024 Bronco. Had it programmed at a local Ford dealer and I installed behind the gas tank door.

The real beauty of the keypad is locking your fob inside the car when you are somewhere you don't want to carry it - like the beach or hiking.
Also if you are at home and your car is locked but you want something in it without going into the house if you are already outside.

It's not a game changer, but it is something to make life a little easier for people who like to travel light.

I had them install it on my 24 wildtrak in April. NO PROBLEMS. Find another dealer.

I put the key in a faraday bag then put that inside the console safe. If they force their way in the vehicle at least they can’t steal the whole thing. Definitely makes it easier when doing things you don’t want your keys exposed to.

My battery only lasted a year and probably only used it like between 10 and 20 times. Be careful putting the cover back on. I found that sliding it on from the side instead of directly, pushing it in keeps the tabs intact. I broke two tabs, trying to push it on from the front.

I just had it done on my 23 with no issues....I had bought the key pad before I noticed that you can't do this yourself like I always have in the past without Fords new software.....I just used my points and had the dealer spend the 5 minutes programming it...at least they drove out to my house and did it so I didn't have to go to the dealer.....and used the key pad I had already bought.

As already mentioned use a faraday bag/case for the FOB, someone breaking in would have to find that as well to steal the vehicle.

I think the touchpad entry is the greatest thing ever and use it all the time, send the kids out to grab something they don't need to keep track of the keys.....hunting and someone else gets back to the vehicle first, etc. so many good uses for it
