It just happened to my drivers side window after I had the top and doors off. I noticed it when I put everything back on this afternoon. I just did the mentioned reset by rolling it down with the switch and holding it for 5 seconds then rolling it up and holding for 5 seconds. Totally worked for me. My window is seating like it should.

My front passenger door widow doesn’t come up to meet the seal. Will this reset work for that issue?
thanks to everyone for posting on this problem!

I want to attempt this fix as I have the same rear passenger door getting hung up. Weird thing is its not super consistent but I am guessing this is due to flex in the weatherstripping. When it does get caught it really sounds like the window is gonna get broken.

1. I have a couple of questions for those that performed this. Is it just the up/down, for/aft position that fixes this or does the tilt need to be adjusted too?

2. It's my passenger rear door but I cannot find directions or a video to remove the rear door panel. Is it the same as the front or does anyone have the service manual for this portion?

My front passenger window was not doing the automatic up and it wasn’t dropping when opening.
I did the 5 second fix and it’s working again!!!

The 5 second fix helped me a lot when I put my doors back on and noticed the passenger window was not dropping on door opening or would not auto close anymore.

I wish the windows would drop when you touch the sensor on the back of the handle that auto-unlocks the doors. Instead it waits until you actually pull to drop them.
That is what my Dodge Challenger does. Touch the handle, window drops.

Same. Dealer adjusted it and it’s fixed. The service tech I spoke with said the windows adjust like the old Mustangs and they’re easily put out of alignment.

I have a 2024 and same rear driver window only
same - rear driver only. 3 out of 4 work fine.
Dealer already "fixed" it at last oil change
now it wont stay up, if I run the window in auto it hits the top and runs right back down. I have to bump it up slowly to get near the top.

I have been doing the 5 second up/down reset for over 2.5-years with my 4-door Badlands. It's a quick fix, but it does get annoying when I close a truck door and hear that godforsaken clunk because the window stuck the body. You would think by now that Ford would come out with a one time fix all to eliminate the need for the 5 second reset. I have observed how I open and close my doors to see if how I operate a simple door, but nothing appears out of the ordinary. UGH. I'll live with it, but really "WE" shouldn't have to. Come on Ford, address the issue and not a reset procedure!
