We are having an issue with the windows on one of our Broncos. My wife's windows appear to be not dropping when we open the passenger rear door. It stays up and when we close the door the window isn't able to go into the seal as it should be. We brought it to the local dealer. Of course they couldn't replicate it, so they reset the system and it worked fine for a while, but now it is doing it again. Has anyone else had this issue?

Try rolling window down all the way and holding the button down for about 5 to 10 seconds

Wil do. Thanks. I am guessing that resets something in the system.

Yes. It forces the window's module to "relearn/reset". Lower the glass all the way; hold power button down for 5 seconds (won't hurt to hold longer in case your count is too quick); raise the glass all the way; hold the power button up for 5 seconds; then cycle the glass down/up again. Should reset. I had to do this this morning and actually had to do it a few times as my count was too quick.

Just tried that on both rear windows in her Bronco. Worked perfect. Thanks a lot. I also watched his video on window flop. That is an issue on my 2 door. I will correct that this evening. I love these Broncos, but sometimes driving a computer is aggravating.

For 21 and 22 model years the dealerships have a door module update that will drop the windows down a bit when the unlock button is hit on your key fob. Also works when you hit the unlock button on the inside of the door.

Thanks. I guess I need to contact them. The window situation is terrible on these Broncos. I wish they would have given us frames for them. The frameless windows are not worth the hassle.

Also the 2023's built before July 12, 2023. Works with the inside door unlock button and FOB.

Hi Steve! I can look into your Bronco's window concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

Yeah the real problem with the windows is the switches. When my wife or kid are in the Bronco and want to roll their windows up or down, they tend to pull the switch all the way (past the 2nd "click") and hold it. That second click is the auto so by holding it instead of letting it go, it confuses the window.

I tried it train them to either stop at the first click if they want to hold the switch, or go all the way and let it go instantly if they want the window all the way up or all the way down.

I mean I don't know if there was an alternative way for ford to do it, but I'm almost regretting the 4 way auto window feature.
