Another option, if you are truly torn would be the all new Rigid D-Series SAE light that offers both amber and white in one white. You can run them independent of one another or together.

Effectively, you'd have the option for 6000K white lights, 3000K yellow lights, or a mix of both for approximately 4500K which would give you that old school halogen headlight color vs today's 6000K LED headlights.

I guess OEM, truckers and me are all wrong with clear fogs…yellow/amber fog lights disappeared in the 50’s-60’s for a reason…better lens designs allow the use of brighter white light. ! I have lived and driven professionally in serious fog throughout my life with clear fog lights. Properly designed and adjusted clear fog lights put out more light and I have never had a problem with glare. I do have yellow fog lights on model A for looks but they do little to help visibilty…having worked at Caltrans…if amber lights were better in fog or snow they would be on snow plows and maintenance vehicles, they are not. Not even on CHP vehicles. But what do I know…
You bring up a good point here and something I touched on in my post above. There was definitely a reason why headlight colors stayed around 4300K (warm white) for so long. Halogen headlights were that color and most factory equipped HIDs were 4300K, both my 2013 Raptor and my 2021 GT500 had 4300K HIDs from the factory.

As everything has moved to LED, the color temperature has gone from warm white to cool white for aesthetic purposes. But unfortunately, that cool white color temperature at 6000K has relatively poor performance, especially in heavy rain.

On my daily driver, 2019 F-250, I have the factory LED headlights and also have a 40" Baja Designs OnX6 Arc light bar in the bumper and a pair of XL80s on the A-pillars with amber lenses in them. On Thanksgiving last year, I was traveling to see some relatives who live in the country. We were driving through a pretty tremendous downpour and the roads were empty. My headlights made virtually zero difference. I flipped on my white light bar and it was bright, but it was also relatively blinding and lit up the incoming rain. However, when I turned on the yellow XL80s, it heavily reduced the reflectiveness. I found the best setup was running them together. Baja Designs white lights burn at 5000K and the amber XL80s burn at 3000K, giving me a roughly 4000K color temperature and I found that to be pretty much perfect.

All this to say, there's something to be said about the magic balance of warm white light and I think with the factory Bronco headlights burning at 6000K, adding some yellow fogs for visibility at in snow, fog, or heavy rain gives you the best of both worlds for greater visibility.

I went with Oracle amber fog lights they match the headlights. The combo amber and white will require the use of 3 auxiliary switches.

That's what I bought. Have not installed yet but with the little remote that came with it I can actually I believe skip using accessory switches and just wire direct to a spare fuse since the remote may also control on off

both for sure, I run a combination - amber 2 spot/2 wide and 4 white wide although I'm going to swap out 2 of the white wide for white spots. The two ditch lights are spots and they shine 1/4 mile down the road. Love these lights, all aluminum and the brightest 4" units you can buy.

Hey everyone just curious what you’d recommend. My Badlands is almost here - got the mod bumper and going to install fog lights.
But for the life of me I can’t figure out which would be a better choice.

Thoughts?
I went this way and it works quite well.

I bought Amber covers for my Rigid 360's. Cheaper!

So check out our fog kits because we actually let you get BOTH lights so you have the best of both worlds:

https://www.4x4truckleds.com/vehicle-specific/ford-bronco/2021-bronco/fog-lights/

White lights are good for normal driving conditions and will perform the best when it's clear out.

Amber or Yellow lights will be better for bad weather such as fog, rain, snow. They'll cut through that bad weather a bit better then the white light.

We like to recommend customers get both white and yellow (amber) fogs so they can turn on the fogs they need based on the weather.

Our complete kits let you control each set of lights from their own switch as well.

Shoot me a message. Happy to help you choose a system. Here are some installs we've done and you can see a trend here... white and yellow lights

Amber for fogs as they cut through fog and snow better. If you add flood, or others white as you want the brightest light in that situation.

After lots of testing including extreme dust at King of The Hammers, we prefer Amber/Yellow low and use those for foggy, snowy, rainy and dusty conditions. Ditch lights can go either way. Our windshield kit we went with clear. The thing I love about our Diode Dynamics kits we sell and use on our vehicles is the ability switch lenses or easily pop yellow/amber covers on the lights. We would love to chat with any of you about optics and lens colors. PS in this picture our back lights are on for the ditch lights and windshield kit. THe main beams are clear in all of those lights currently. I definitely prefer yellow or amber as fog lights though. We used the fog lots on this trip to cut through dust and they worked amazing.

Personal preference. The best option is to have both, use one or the other as needed. I use amber DOT lights for actual fog driving. Limited reflection and easier on oncoming traffic. Bright white spot lights are preferred for off road see it all driving, or back country Bambi watch driving.
