I asked for the VIN and he said “no not yet that won’t happen until maybe later in the month.”

Okay, just so we are clear, your dealer is a dumbass and you aren't currently scheduled. That may change on Thursday but as of right now, not scheduled, no VIN.

Yeah, the date box under schedule doesn’t say “ end of the next month”. It has an actual date. If there is a date, then there is a VIN.

Cool cool. I don’t know what the interface looks like for the dealers. It makes me wonder why they would even assume this or say it ya know… like he knows I’m in no hurry so there’s no reason to even suggest it. Maybe they don’t understand or they look at a date somewhere and think it means something. Genuinely curious.

I have no idea on this. I’ve only ever bought through dealers with Broncos on the lot. I guess the group will have to weigh in.

I did ask my dealer if the price on the order sheet I signed was the price I’d be paying and they said that it was. I might be naive but I trust that’s the case with this guy. I know that’s not going to always be the case and for all I know, maybe they’ll pull some stunt when it arrives on the lot.

Plenty of threads regarding price protection. Including a new one today that is HE and BRaptor specific but is sill retail price protection relevant.
