Just FYI In the F150 on the sync 3 with Forscan you can change the speaker outs to line level and turn on the sub output if it didnā€™t come with factory sub. Im sure the bronco will have similar capabilities If you decide the stock system isnā€™t enough.

JL Audio has multiple stealthbox options for wranglers, so Iā€™m expecting similar here.

Iā€™m avoiding lux package to opt towards adding those instead & probably going Focal up front and using Audiocontrol DSP and amps. But have to figure out where to fit those.ā€

I'll have to check that out. Having seen the 2door at the OKC show I now know I won't be able to fit any regular sub box in the back.

I definitely am going to upgrade the speakers as well, probably some rockford fosgates & a 4ch amp.

When riding topless, you may have to go to great length to get it sounding good. I can hear my music plenty in my jeep w/ the top down, doors off, 35ā€ MT tires. I added speaker baffles for the dash speakers, polyfill in rollbar rear pod enclosures, downfiring sub in a sealed custom enclosure, aftermarket front/rear speaker upgrades and a 5ch amp years ago.

wont be doing it on the wifeā€™s B&O system in the Bronco though.

My thoughts as well. I can upgrade the stock system for substantially less than the $3,590 they want for Lux. Anything is better than what comes from the factory.

Funny timing on this post. I was just sitting here in CAD figuring out what I can reasonably fit in the back of a 2-door based on the 3D imaging dimensions that were posted on here earlier this week. I typically run Sundown or CT Sounds subs. I hate to give up too much space so I'm thinking about either (3) 8's or a single 12 in a ported box ~1.5ft3. I can probably fit the (3) 8's easier and they would sound awesome on 95% of the music I listen to but they can't play low as loud. I asked the guy at the Bronco show recently what the capacity of the alternator was and he didn't know. A Taramps 3000.1 will draw ~120A so I'm hoping the alternator is at least in that range. I have a single 12 in my TJ and it does pretty well even with the top off but as with anything I'd like to have a little more output. Regarding the under seat subs, I had a buddy that put them in a TJ and they added more bass than stock but had zero capacity to play lower than "mid-bass". If you've ever heard someone replace the OEM 6.5" sub in a TJ console it was kind of the same thing. You could tell it was better than stock but IMHO not enough difference to warrant the time and $$. I have heard some systems with multiple Sundown X65 / SA65s and they are pretty impressive for small drivers so maybe in the right Bronco setup they would be adequate.

The Bronco would be the last vehicle I'd choose to try and get decent audio out of. It's made to rock crawl.

@Chuck_Ruck used and abused... and grimy from sitting in the garage... but Iā€™m right there with ya
I lost my W6s to dry rot, and sold most everyrhing else. But I kept a lone 12" W0, that 500/1, and some Eclipse Audio management components. All still in factory packaging. From 2004. Haha

Pretty sure itā€™s meant for more than just rock crawling... but why canā€™t we enjoy elevator music while doing whatever off road driving we wanna do? šŸ™‚

I do believe my BaseBase I have pre-ordered would not be the best at rock crawling, but it would be good for a daily & some lite off roading while blasting my premium aftermarket speakers.

My point is it's an off-road oriented vehicle, rather than a Lincoln Continental with Bridge of Weir leather and acoustic-grade interior materials, so the capability of the interior to provide a high-quality acoustic environment is far to nil. Last time I was in an elevator, the music system did not have a subwoofer capable of 18 Hz at 110 dB.

Just sayin' ;)
