Any Regret Telling People You Ordered A Bronco?? (not a serious post)

I was so pumped when I reserved my Bronco way back in September 2020.
So, of course, I told some family members & some of my closer friends.... who then asked when it was coming! Fari enough question... at that point in time!

Then I was even more pumped when I got to do the build & order way back in January 2021...
So, OF COURSE, I told the same family members & close friends that it was now an order (as well as told my work associates, my neighbours, anyone else that seemed interested!) LOL

The regret of all that has really set in, because if someone else asks me where this imaginary Bronco is, or if I canceled the order, or if I sold it already... I'll probably explode!

Anyway, today was a more trying day as I had that question 3 times... I thought " what better place to vent than on the forum?"

It seems I'm more patient than all the people I told in the first place!

And when they look at me with sympathy, that may be the worst! Argh!

how about if it really bothers you this much you just go off on them, set them straight about it and then maybe just maybe, they'll stop leave you alone about it. Ever think that they keep asking you about the Bronco just to mess with you.

It was a humor post actually... You couldn't tell that by my verbiage?
If you read it with maybe the the cadence of Ryan Reynolds, then it would be clear as that was the voice I was going with. But I DO see a psychiatrist for other reasons, so... let's keep it nice!

Yep, wish I hadn't said a word til they saw me drive up. The constant delays mean constantly explaining why it's not here yet.

I feel the your pain, but hey, I'm telling mysef better to have a Bronco ordered than not at all. Glass half full going forward, some responders on here didn't get the dry humor I was attempting. hehe.

I told a few people who had an understanding of 4x4 vehicles. Otherwise, I felt no reason to say much, most of my family had no clue lol kinda fun when you finally pick it up and roll up in it, surprising the hell out of family n friends. Seeing the Bronco up close and in person is a real treat.

Like you mentioned, nosy, rude and sometimes harmlessly naive coworkers will rub in that my 85 5/4 ton CUCV don't look like "that new Bronco" that they see in town...
Grrr.
But I love my American vehicles, so I await patiently and anxiously.

Only told a couple people last year, with the caveat “I won’t see it until the end of 2022”. If it arrives sooner I’ll just drive up the street and see whose head turns...

And yes, this is clearly a therapy group for like-minded souls, validating our obsession with a machine. The best kind of group- funny, fun, factual (sometimes) and free!
