My CU gave me 0.9% over 60 months. I was blessed. Probably will never see that in my lifetime again.

Can you pl. share the details of the CU.. are you sure it was 0.9%?

I am sticking to the original topic.
I was just approved for 5.94% / 72 months with Navy Federal. They show my Vantagescore on their credit dashboard as 778. My FICO auto middle score is close at 767.

PenFed which seems like another popular option was going to go 6.39%
I stopped at Navy Federal.

I hope that helps for someone's comparison.

For 36 months Ford finance was over 8%, USAA was 6.85% iirc. I paid it off a week or so later.

It seems to be you need some family connection to the military.

Yes, I'm sure. Alliant Credit Union did it. I had family with United Airlines so I got my membership that way.

With stellar credit, the best I’ve got is (surprisingly) Bank of America at 6% for 60 months. All my local CUs and banks were >7, many over 8 for the same term.

Bought my Raptor about a month ago. CU did 6.1% with a credit score of 824. Dealer said it was the lowest they have seen and ~1.5 points below Ford's best at the time. This is pretty typical in the inflationary environment we are in\.

We financed a car in COVID year 1 and got 1.9 at the same CU for my wife's Yukon Denali and in 2017 I bought a Truck at 0.9%. Pre-Inflation...

Ford will come down if they want to move the cars. I don't regret buying what I wanted, when I wanted. I will just pay off this year.
