I don't understand block heaters on gas engines ????
Diesel, yes.
It gets sub-zero here every year. I've never had an issue with a gas motor.

That being said, once the frost layer starts forming every morning, I will put a milk house heater on a timer in the car just to defrost it in the morning ... that's usually my biggest gripe.
The block heaters didn't really help with thick windshield frost.

Manual trans ... no remote start... huge :(
Most Canadian and Upper Peninsula MI locations or similar everyone just leaves their engines running when they go into a store. Small towns, if the rig is "stolen" it will be returned by the time you are done shopping.

But, anyway, I would have settled for a Mid package and a cold weather package that included heated steering wheel, but needed it, went Lux, and steering wheel and seat heats work great. Has only dropped to 35 so far but exterior cold not noticeable inside the soft top

Garage door opener chaps my ass. Wtf is it not available on lower option packages? It's not a luxury to park in the garage. You just have to not be a slob and keep your garage cleaned up enough to park in it 😠
Or have a garage that a Bronco can fit in 😭

No warm weather trim/package either. Cooled seats are a game changer for a vehicle with a removable roof.

I'm not sure yet, there may have been an issue with my hvac system that has MAYBE sorted itself out, but this Bronco is the COLDEST car I have ever driven.
It's only gotten down to around freezing, but I just feel COLD in that thing.

Weird things, like my coffee mug bottom is ICE cold when I pull it out of the cup holder.
My legs feel very cold even though the heat is on the floor.

Went on a road trip this weekend, Thur night, could not get the air recirc to stay closed. After awhile it starts to bring in more outside air and every thing just feels cold even though the heater is pushing hot air.

I think maybe a damper door may have been stuck, and MAYBE it worked itself out now ... the last half of the trip felt much better.
But it shouldn't take 2.5 hours to warm up in a vehicle at hi-way speeds.

I'll see tomorrow morning on my commute...

No. You can get seat warmers and an engine block heater.

Us desert folk need a hot weather package with but coolers.

I specifically got a black diamond because of the cold weather features.
Heated seats.
Snow rated 32” tires.
Wash out floor for snow and ice on boots.
Everything else like heated steering wheel etc etc is for city folk

I feel like Ford may have dropped the ball on an opportunity to market a cold weather 4x4 to people who actually head to the mountains or live where it is cold and/or snows.

I was thinking a mid range package that has the basic 4x4 GOAT modes, vinyl flooring, heated mirrors, cloth seats (upgrade-able to vinyl only), seat warmers for all 4 seats, heated steering wheel, roof racks, block heater, (maybe some de-icers) fog lights and a minimal electronics package with the longer range remote start.

I think a lot of us cold weather people would have purchased something like this. We can't all afford the lux package and many of us don't like dealing with failing electronics or blocked up cameras due to cold temps and sticky snow. I think the skiers/snowboarders/sledders would have purchased this in a heartbeat.

Canada, Alaska, Dakota's, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Lake States, and Colorado...what are your thoughts? Would you pay mid-high package prices for this?
Live in MN, ordered a base. would have paid 1-2k for seat heaters, but not willing to pay for a big bend with the package that includes them… I just didn’t see the value because their interiors are similar. Have had vehicles with and without block heaters and didn’t notice any subjective “engine wear” differences when getting looked at by a shop.
Edit: will likely install a seat heater kit from Amazon.

Rumor is, even the Ford people were shocked at how hot the MGV got in Phoenix on one of their ride along events.

I need cooled seats way more than I need a wash-out interior.

But I also was disappointed that Ford didn't offer a "Cold Weather Package" on all trims like Jeep does.🙁

The most stupid thing is that, you can't have remote start on a Manual, so you can't start the car and warm it up from inside your house, so you need heated seats even more than someone with the auto tranny. But Ford decided that if you can't afford an extra 10k to move up a few trim levels, you have to forget your beloved manual, or forget the Mid-Package.😡

I’m getting the 2 dr manual. Wait did I miss something ?
You can't get the mid-package with the manual except on the Badlands.

The two things that pissed me off the most when the 2021 (and 2022) order guides came out...

1.) No mid with manual except Badlands, and

2.) No stand alone option to add a rear locker on Base with adding Sasquatch.

The standard features on black diamond includes heated seats. And rear locker and the snow tires. With a manual.
The Sasquatch tires aren’t rated for snow.

Nope, it requires the Mid package, which you can't get with a manual on the Black Diamond.

If you want a manual and heated seats, unfortunately your only choice is a Badlands.
